My close friends are INFP’s and and an INTJ. Married to an ISFJ. Complete strangers tell me their life stories all the time,

I didn't use the exact one but I took the 16personalities one
the descriptors they did shocked the hell out of me with how accurate they were, and some of the things they said I've heard or been told in life. it's insane

INFJ. Fits well.

How common is the INFJ personality type?
INFJ is the rarest type in the population. It is the least common type among men, and the third least common among women (after INTJ and ENTJ). INFJs make up:

  • 2% of the general population
  • 2% of women
  • 1% of men
What are the core values of the INFJ?
INFJs are guided by a deeply considered set of personal values. They are intensely idealistic, and can clearly imagine a happier and more perfect future. They can become discouraged by the harsh realities of the present, but they are typically motivated and persistent in taking positive action nonetheless. The INFJ feels an intrinsic drive to do what they can to make the world a better place.

INFJs want a meaningful life and deep connections with other people. They do not tend to share themselves freely but appreciate emotional intimacy with a select, committed few. Although their rich inner life can sometimes make them seem mysterious or private to others, they profoundly value authentic connections with people they trust.

Who are some famous INFJs?
Famous INFJs include Mohandas Gandhi, Eleanor Roosevelt, Emily Bronte, Carl Jung, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Florence Nightingale, Shirley MacLaine, Jimmy Carter, and Edward Snowden.

What do INFJs like to do?
Popular hobbies for the INFJ include writing, art appreciation, cultural events, reading, socializing in small, intimate settings, and playing or listening to music.

Same here, as mentioned on the first page of this thread. We are the 1%.

Here's the OP test results:

"Love to be around people and spend time talking to them" is a bit odd, but makes sense too. I avoid situations with a lot of people and I get really nervous in situations with a lot of people and would rather be home, BUT if such a situation occurs and a good discussion starts I enjoy being part of the discussion.

Here's the 16personalities one (sorry, didn't think to change the language to English :D ):

I don't know if it's funny or worrying but as life goes by, I'm becoming more and more of an introvert with social anxiety. I try to avoid talking to people as much as possible (like, random talk). It fucking drains me. I don't know if it's because of depression or just a personality sign.

That’s normal imo.

It's up to you to break those vicious cycles. Introversion can beget more introversion, and without conditioning yourself to remain functional in social situations your anxiety level will increase and you won't be as well adjusted, each interaction will be more difficult and draining. If you want to change your outcomes, you'll have to fight against the tide.

I have been INTJ and INTP in the past. I have grown differently in my personality throughout the years and it certainly reflects. My latest results say that I am ISTP and it certainly fits the bill more to me lately.

DAMMIT!

I was literally just in the middle of making my FIRST thread and this was the topic, but with a poll. (2 hours of amateur work :messenger_crying:)

Sad to see I'm late to the party, but make this bump will bring new life!

I'm an INTJ-T. I'm the passive version. :^\

I've taken multiple tests and the results are consistent. I'm also done research and seen examples. The behaviors are consistent with what I've done throughout my life, so I'm convinced the result is accurate.

There are also informative and entertaining youtube channels on the subject:

Love Who

AsuraPsych

I'm expecting mostly introverts, on this forum.

May have already been posted, but you can also take a another version of the test at 16 Personalities.

Come on people. What are ya?

Pretty hard in the ENTJ category.

Kind of interesting reading about it because I do talk a lot of people into giving me stuff.
But it's usually stuff I need and I live a pretty material-free life all things considered.

I've seen you guys around and you scare me, so I keep my distance. :^D

But ideally, we're suppose to play off each others ideas, pretty well. I'd be more in depth on the planning, while you'd work your magic on making things come together.

I view these tests to be good but imperfect assessments. Myers-Briggs in particular does a good job of generally assessing a person's temperament and provides a good starting point for introspection. When you begin to get granular they can be constraining but a good starting point nevertheless.I've taken this test over a dozen times as a result of various leadership initiatives that I have participated in.

My result is always INTJ.

I'm always interested in how these personality types translate to relationships. They can be very useful for understanding other people around you. I/E is always a close call but I lean towards I. I've never met a stranger and I'm usually the one in my friend group organizing social events. That said, I need to balance it with time spent alone so that I can think, hence the "I" being the more dominant trait for me. The one thing I value most in relationships is intellectual depth. I find it incredibly difficult to connect with people who aren't introspective and thinking about tough questions simply because I find them boring, though it is through no fault of their own. I always work best and find the most meaning in relationships with others who think deeply. I find INTJ and similar personality types are quick to identify underlying problems in any given situation long before others do; it is cathartic to connect with others who have also identified the same problems and absolutely frustrating to speak with those who haven't. All in all, a rather fair assessment of how I approach people.

ISTJ

It's weird, I took this many years ago, and I remember having to think about my answers, as if I was still trying to figure myself out. This time around, it was just automatic no-brainers all around.

Labels aside - it's kinda scary how set I've become in my ways, for better or worse. It's depressing to think about how you once saw yourself heading down particular paths in your youth, and eventually just submitted to your comforts and allowed complacency to steer you into an even shittier version of what you once were.

ISTJ - The Inspector

I'm not sure I agree with it's career assessment though.
Lawyer, Accountant, Business Consultant? I don't really see myself doing these.
Careers to avoid: Graphic Designer and Creative Writer? Now you've gone too far buddy!

A few years ago I didn't get a coder job because they had me do that test.
Afterwards they felt I would fuck up their precious introverted nerd geniuses working there...
