Won my battle today on Pokemon Turfwars, which is a metagame for Pokemon where players break up into teams representing the various villainous team from the Pokemon series, and as "grunts" we battle each other with low-tier pokemon of specific types based on which team we're on. The battles are weekly and this is my second week playing. I lost last week, but my win today was against the same grunt who beat me last week, so revenge made my victory sweeter.

It's called Dead Endings!

It's a modern ghost story set in New York with plenty of murder, mystery, and appropriately morbid jokes. It actually exists because of the GAF NaNoWriMo thread. I wrote it for that and a publisher liked it enough to pick it up. I even got assigned a professional artist to do illustrations for every chapter plus all of the bonus stuff.

The art is amazing, no lie.

They'll sometimes follow her around, but usually, if they're not off doing their own thing, they're stuck to me. Sitting by me on the couch, or on the footrest, hardly giving me any space. Scratching at the bathroom door. Sitting in there while I'm taking a shower. Sitting on the bed with me.

I think, especially since I came back from the hospital, they're just worried about me.
