Good. That removed some of my fears that it would be Lord of the Rings Lite. It had a distinctive feel somewhere between Harry Potter and the Rings Trilogy, right in that sweet spot.

I love how when "This Christmas" zooms in all you see is "CHRIST" hella big on the screen at first :lol

what? I didn't see that at all.

I see where the "This Christmas" comes in halfway through the clip.. but it doesn't exactly stop or pause anywhere. All you see is (blur), then "This Christmas"

Looks like it could be quite good. I get more of a Harry Potter vibe than I do Lotr.
I mentioned LOTR because WETA is doing the creature and weapon designs as well as the special effects on Narnia. I was worried that they might just copy the feel over to Narnia, whether intentionally or not.

I'm still not sure.

The bright colors look really awkward. I'm not sure why. A few scenes look a lot like LOTR but with only a certain couple objects with added bright colors. Seems weird.

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one. It literally gave me chills, just like the first Sin City trailer. :)

you sound like a total pansy.

Looks cool though, as a few have mentioned before like a nice blend of HP and LOTR.

Oh I don't think its intentional, its just how the screen crops the words as they first zoom in, my media player hanging up could have accentuated it though.

the whole thing about the LION being god and anybody dark being evil sorta ruined narnia for me.
Do you like LOTR? Every humanoid character (in the films at least) with darker or colored skin is evil. Whites are good, although they can be corrupted and become evil. However, it doesn't go the other way. The darker ones stay evil.

I'm a big fan of the colors and how bright they are.

I just finished reading the Chronicles and always pictured Narnia as a bright and wonderous place, especially when Aslan is around.
