It's funny because nobody liked part 1 Hinata, at all.

I always thought that was just a cultural myth like 'opposites attract' and that when studied at large, the rates of marriages that could be categorized as parent-mirror or opposite-personality were no higher than they would be under random chance.

And I'm not sure I've heard of this encouraging your children to find someone like you and your spouse. In a broad cultural sense sure, re: race,politics, religion, etc. But personality wise? I wouldn't expect a 'bad' parent to want their children to have a 'bad' partner for instance.

I think part 1 Hinata was actually more popular than everyone except Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, and Iruka. Sometimes Shikamaru and Lee were more popular than her, sometimes less.

No, he didn't. That's one of the famous mistranslations Hinata fans have lorded over Sakura fans forever. It's been debunked many times over already.

When you put it like this, it makes the fact that it's probably ending soon seem so real.

When I first started watching Naruto, I thought it was cool because Naruto was my age, and he was 14 in part 1. I'm 25 now. Damn. I've been with this series for so long. An ending will be a bittersweet thing.

I honestly have no idea. It depends of what Kaguya does next chapter, if she is still in charge then 50 chapter. If not then when have to see what Orochimaru and Sasuke are really up to, then the final battle.

Around there, yeah. The only things really left are Hagoramo & hokages+Madara showing up to the fight, and the sage tools that were foreshadowed a while back (honestly think that has to do with what Hagoramo & co are doing).

I'd be surprised if it lasted more tbh, but who knows.

I wish I was as confident as you in the last one. It's something I always hoped from the series but I just don't see how Kishimoto will work it in. Then again who knows what happens when this war is over. Also want Naruto to acknowledge Karin as being one too, somehow.

They better mention Hamura again. It's pretty obvious at this point he's the ancestor of the Hyuga clan, but if there's a Kaguya flashback I hope he at least gets as much screen time as Izuna did.

You are delusional. It doesn't matter what you knew lol, the fact is that she was the one to save both Sasuke and Naruto.

It doesn't matter if what she did was just punch the goddess because what matters is that she was the one to do it resulting in what may be a successful seal.

Beung on the side lines is what everyone else is clearly doing. Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi and Obitio are the one's saving the shinobi world.


SHIIIIIIIT we got community'd. We were getting too big to stay in OT though. I have to admit I had no idea a Naruto manga thread would be so popular. Like I knew it would be popular since naruto is probably the most popular anime in the West right now but I'm pleasantly surprised at how many fans are here :)

He didn't. I don't recall the exact words, but it wasn't that 'Hinata should have been the main heroine'. Iirc it was during a panel where he was with the VAs. And that was after the Kage Summit arc. He even apologized to Sakura's VA, or was it the VA on her knees asking Why, dunno but it was something funny :lol

Well, how long do you think Naruto vs Sasuke is going to be? Imo at least a volume. So, if Kaguya's end is this week, then we should get a bit of Madara again, there's the Sage with the Kages, and there are his tools too. Hmm, we have dicked around with Madara for years, so it's probably isn't going to be that long. Say, less than a volume. Hopefully. War will need proper closure and N vs S will need a lead-up, can't see them duking it out immediately.

20-30 chapters maybe. If Kaguya doesn't get defeated this week, then I don't know.

Odds are we may not get Naruto vs Sauske, if only because we know the manga is ending this year. Likely just before the movie comes out, they can't have a flashforward movie without finishing up otherwise it'd be spoiler city. Count the weeks between now and the release of the movie, that's how many chapters are left.

But we still don't know how much canon that project is. Could be DB GT-esque something. Or if it's canon, then it will be after the war ends, but before Naruto vs Sasuke happens.

There's no way we won't get Naruto vs Sasuke. One way in or another we'll get that fight.

If there's going to be a part 3 then Naruto vs Sauske will be a long ways off. I seriously doubt there will be another part though, where can they possibly go from here? This is final boss material, if he wanted to do a part 3 then this would have been put off for then.

Everything about this fight screams final boss, so odds are good the manga is ending in short order. There's no way to get any bigger, there are no plot threads left. The only thing left to do is appease the fans with a Naruto vs Sauske fight and show off the final ships.
