I love how one of the monitors on the wall is just showing pictures of the control rooms. Still, not like they have other images to show

Watching a live stream of NASA land a robotic science laboratory on Mars.

This is the future, and it's fucking amazing. Congrats, NASA!

Feels good man, sharing this with my son. Something about space just amazes me....need more please send more nasa!!!Screw cutting funding in space exploration...Its sad to learn how little the space program actually receive in the scheme of things.

I know they didn't slap a cel phone camera from 2002 on to the thing, so why does the camera suck so much ass? B&W no less.
 
Wonder if they built in little brushes to wipe away dust from the cameras. Or maybe compressed air to knock it off.

Always wondered why they didn't do this with the previous mission. Build in some auto-cleaning system for the solar panels.

I think they didn't with Spirit and Opportunity because they didn't expect those rovers to be going around for years and years.
