Another Mars Rover landed on the planet Mars. After nearly a year of travel, we finally have eyes and means of research on the surface of mars again.

With the money we (Europe and US) spent on Iraq and Afghanistan there could have been a permanent base on the moon and we might be close to sending people to Mars. Such a damn shame.

Regardless of whether you can donate or not, it has a handy tool to send a message off to your local congress people. I created a little message that might be of some help to people wondering what to write. Go ahead and change it how you want, but I think it could be a decent base for showing support. Send the link and message to anybody you want.

We seriously need some sort of nasa kickstarter to ride on the hype of this event.
If we can raise half a million dollars to send a bus monitor on vacation, imagine how much could be raised for space exploration.

Normally I'd be annoyed, but if it helps to get the USA USA Republicans on board for more funding, then I'd say keep it up.
If anything, a NASA kickstarter might shame the government into increasing/not cutting any further the agency's budget.
Amurican taxes payed for it. If it gets them more money, carry on.
