I'm pretty sure that it ends next year since EA seems to sign three year deals each time. But both EA and the NFL have stated that they're happy working together, so I don't think you should get your hopes up for anything changing. Here's a Reddit AMA from the assistant director of external affairs for the NFLPA

We have an agreement with EA and Madden. I have heard some opinions like yours, but honestly, EA is one of our best partners. I know they hear some of your input as well and work to improve the game every year.

What it boils down to is that EA is never giving up the license and the NFL is never going to take it away. It's EA's for as long as they want it.

With Mods 2k14 will look close to that. The graphics mods in the past for the 2k games was amazing. BTW to the guy who says the PC version plays like ass you must be trying to play multiplayer, cause single player is better than the console versions by far since its running at 60 FPS.

Wow EA just got schooled on how to make a launch sports title.

If only EA did not have the NFL on lockdown, we could have a real nice looking next-gen football game sometime prior to 2018.

With dead face animations and body animations. Oh but I bet there's a mod for better game animations.

Where is it that I said I was 'skeptical'. If you could read you would have read that I own 2k12 and 2k13 and KNOW that they look good. I KNOW the animations they showed are what will be in the game.

If you were able to read you would understand that my entire point is I don't like "Instant Replay" trailers. 2k has a great game that looks phenomenal in their hands. I don't give a shit if the art or marketing director likes this "Varied camera angle" trailer. I want to see real gameplay.

I hope you are able to READ this.

No reason to get annoyed, take it easy.

You want to see real gameplay, from a developer that has always shown their games i cinematic up close pictures, which is standard for almost all sports games. You KNOW about the animation, you KNOW they look good, but then you should also KNOW this is how they do their trailers. You will just have to wait for the demo or YouTube/Twitch videos then.

I can't defend the PC iteration of NBA 2K. It's half priced because 2K puts out a half assed product. We're the last to get patches and features are consistently gutted in favor of the console. The worst thing is that their marketing tries to pass off the PC version as the same as its console counterpart when it's clearly not. Yeah hardware can makes up for it in terms of image quality and performance, but the way they treat the PC SKU should be called out more.

I completely disagree. Playing the PC version and going back to consoles is terrible if you are a single player guy. The mods fix almost everything that is patched on the consoles as well.

Looks good. Then again, I want to see actual gameplay as well. The transitions have always been nice.

As good as this looks though, MLB: The Show PS4 will crush it. =)

I have to say I'm really disappointed. I finally have a new PC and NBA 2k14 is gimped for PC. Boo.

I'm still not gonna buy a next gen console...yet.

Without mods, did they fix the missing SSAO on the players? That missing made the console versions look better at times in previous games.

For some reason, I also had a hard time keeping the framerate stable in previous versions. Everything runs at 60, even replays but there are slight hitches here and there during gameplay especially during fast breaks that isn't in the console versions

A) likely did not receive a 60FPS version, a LOT of trailers gamersyde gets of 60FPS games are still 30
B) this trailer is mostly in slow motion. If you want to see it in 60FPS, just double the playback speed in your favourite video player :)

I wasn't attempting to say that the game is going to be 30fps, only that the 30fps footage wasn't caused by the fact that it was being streamed by Youtube.

...but I will try out that double playback thing out for shits and giggles. lol

Need to see some gameplay with normal playing cameras, I bet there will be not much difference, hope I am wrong.

Not getting a PS4 until 3 years from now, going PC, but I am a fan of NBA 2K, hope they get their shit together for next year's PC version or Wii U (**sigh, please 2K, or I will shed a tear**), this one I am going to pass.
