ESPN... Warriors crush them and are one of the best teams ever and all they talk about is Lebron and show his interview for 10 minutes before anything else.

BSPN at its finest.

It's shit like this is why they are losing millions and millions of subscribers and revenue. They went from a haven to the Sports world to now Entertainment Tonight TV, the TMZ of Sports.

It's a joke.

There all anyone is talking about in this thread too. Can you really blame them? They know their audience.

Im not that big of a fan of the Lakers make up currently, especially as they owe picks to a lot of teams without having a good player currently playing. I do like Walton, but you can't coach shit players to anything more then becoming mediocre, whicxh is honestly a lot worse then being shit.

Then someone needs to tell me how Brad Stevens does what he does.

That game 7 between OKC and the warriors really oozed a finals atmosphere. I was so hyped for that. This feels like a regular season blowout.

The Walton hire is similar to the Brad Stevens hire in Baaaaaw-ston. It is known that they are a long play and it is admitting, finally that we are rebuilding. 5 year plan to being competitive I am ok with.

Well, I was totally wrong about this series it looks like. Warriors looking to end this in 5, jesus. Game tonight wasn't even entertaining... unless you're a Warriors fan I guess

I noticed a pattern, when Lebron's team drops Mike Miller for cap reasons they get embarrassed in the following finals. Why not drop James Jones instead?

Maybe Ii'm a minority here, but Lebron being shoved down my throat the last 10 years or so is why I quit following NBA. GS and Curry has renewed my interest. At least they quit calling him the "best basketball player on the planet" every time.

The Celtics current team? I mean, they're a little bit better then average tbh, but there's a reason they got knocked out of the first round. They're players are also a lot better then the Lakers current players are

Danny Ainge is just lucky he was able to take advantage of Billy King's idiocy, and if they can't get a superstar in this draft, then im having a hard time believing they're gonna win a chip with their current makeup. There's always a chance of something like another huge signing I guess, or maybe a huge trade, but they're in the same place a lot of other east teams are in AKA we need a star and are going to have draft picks in the late teens/twenties

he got a 5th seed in the garbage east. let's not go crazy.
that translates to maybe the 20th best team in the nba.

I think people dont comprehend how fucking awful the west was outside of the top 4 teams. The fucking Mavericks, with an ancient Dirk Nowitzki and literally no one else was able to make it to the playoffs. The Blazers, a team who was actively trying to rebuild their roster after losing Aldridge were the 5th seed

and a team that swept two series and won easily against the Raps will struggle to make one game close in the finals, if the west is awful then the east is beyond awful.

Portland would probably make the ECF. People forget that the lower west teams have legit all-stars and are well coached. East has none of that.

2001 Lakers lazy swept the Sixers that year. You are mixing it up with 2000 where that dirty player Jalen Rose intentionally tried hurting Kobe to get him out the series. And the Basketball Gods don't like that shit.

Yeah you're right. I'm actually glad they worked Philly that year cause the refs robbed my other favorite(now my only favorite team) the Bucks in that ECF. They would of given the Lakers a better series at least that year

The East is a lot deeper then the west this year, and that's a fucking absolute truth. Are you high, you really think the Blazers could beat the Raptors, Hawks, or the Heat, teams with way more experience and way better talent.

GS could sweep the Cavs without Curry, Portland was close to take two games.

Yeah, the West is extremely top-heavy right now, which is very unusual. The bottom half is not meaningfully better than the East's bottom half. The top 3/4 is significantly better though. The GSW/SAS/OKC top 3 might be the most talented group of teams we've ever seen in a single conference.

I think this is the final nail in the coffin for iso ball too. You can't have bad coaching get carried by great players anymore. The warriors ball movement and play structure is so much better then the cavs it's ridiculous

That same Iso-Ball had OKC 3-1

The Sixers were the only team to beat them that playoffs, and AI had one of the best seasons in the history of the NBA carrying a team of roleplayers into competing with one of the best teams ever created (prime kobe + plus prime shaq we're literally the 2 best players in the league)

i said it before and i say it again, match up the west 5 versus the east 5, west 6 versus east 6... etc.

east wins 0 of those 4 series.

and they ended up losing after the Warriors switched their gameplan to deal with the height of the Thunder.

ISO ball is dead unless a player as good as AI or Kobe comes along again, and I just dont see that happening for a while.

Irving for CP3, and Love for Melo.

Lebron's new team next year.

Irving for CP3 should be an easy trade , Kyrie is 24, CP3 is 31 , he's got what a few years left at best right (playing at all star level) , Doc would be smart to make the Cavs add more players

if they get swept something will happen

Ainge will be an idiot and trade the 3rd pick, Bradley, Sully or anyone for just Love

or Melo for Love x players

you are literally drunk or high

The Pistons, the East's 8th seed would probably beat the Rockets who were a shambling mess of a roster. I don't even think Rockets fans would protest this

The Pacers would probably beat the Grizzlies, since the Pacers have Paul George and the Grizzlies kind of sucked this year

I'd take Charlotte over Dallas as they have a way more complete team, but Dirk is the best player on the court, so that's a wash

The 5th seed Celtics and the 5th seed Blazers would probably have a good series, but I think the Celtics defensive guards would be able to slow down McCollum and Lillard, I think that's a bad matchup for them

Like, you're fighting a battle where your evidence is the fucking Grizzlies?
