What teams do you think will perform worse than the Lakers?
Off the top of my head:
Nets
Bulls
Suns
Borderlineonly saved by shit East)
76ers
Pacers
Hawks
Hornets
Only thing against me is the brutal West

Hornets? They got Monk and Howard, traded some of their worst contracts, and along with the heat were a team with a positive point differential that was way below what they should have won. They got derailed by losing Cody Zeller to injury and then their terrible luck (look at their record in close games and OT games). Hornets make the playoff by default in the east nowOff the top of my head:

I feel like the kings are gonna be worse. They got some decent vets but I can't see them winning more then when they had Boogie.

Every team looks like they're going to make it and crack through to the playoffs until they dont.
Besides the Magic maybe.
This is definitely the year the Magic make the playoffs because expectations couldn't be lower. East sucks so bad and they've managed to upgrade their roster in some interesting ways. Vogel would never go for it but I'd love to see a Payton / Ross / Simmons / Gordon / Isaac lineup.
Anyway I'm just excited to just never have to see Jeff Green again. Those 70 games he played last year were basically unwatchable.

Magic easily are worse as well. 76ers and pacers shouldn't be. Hornets aren't even close.
- Jeff Green
- CJ Watson
- Jodie Meeks
+ Jonathan Isaac
+ Jonathon Simmons
+ Shelvin Mack
Dunno how the Magic are worse on paper. Probably marginally better but have a feeling the record will be better than people think when guys like Augustin and Hezonja aren't getting any more PT (if they're even on the roster at all)
And you have to include the fact that Ibaka is gone, he had a pretty good year for them. The Magic are definitely not making the playoffs, they're a team of underachievers.
I think the Hawks could sneak into the playoffs. They picked up people who know how to play within their roles and a good coach that usually gets his players to overachieve. Only thing is that the Hawks will be one of the worst 3pt teams around.
I totally forgot the Magic were a team. Yay, someone that's going to be as terrible as the Hawks!

The Hawks might have the second worst roster in the NBA this year (the Bulls are also in that conversation ). The East is weak enough for a middling team like the Pistons to sneak into the playoffs. It's not weak enough for a team like the Hawks.
Nah fam.
Bulls signed both David Nwaba and Antonio Blakeney today. Finally some good moves. That Jordan Bell trade still hurts because they could've had all three.
Edit: Now PLEASE get rid of Cameron Payne.
I found the perfect avatar for this.
I thought they waived/dismissed him Payne yesterday or 2 ago? He had issues (family I believe) and wasn't playing the remainder of SL after that one poor showing.

the one
Magic starters were basically league average once he was gone and Ross was in. Their bench was historically awful though, Hezonja was straight up the worst player in the league last year by RPM, Augustin was the 8th worst. Ibaka wasn't actually any good last year.
I don't know if they'll make the playoffs but I do see them winning 35~ games this year. I guess I'm just hoping so because I'd like to watch some games this year shrug.
http://www.nba.com/lakers/news/170714-lonzo-ball?cid=twHe leads the Las Vegas Summer League in assists and steals. He leads all guards in rebounds and blocks. Hes on pace for the most dimes in the events history.1
Simply put, Lonzo Ball is doing it all for the Lakers.
Averaging 17.0 points, 9.8 assists, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 1.5 blocks, Ball has somehow managed to brighten the already-blinding spotlight on himself.
You can't put a value or price on Big Baller culture.Big Baller culture is worth at least an extra 20-25 wins.
Lonzo made 2nd team all-NBA on his rookie year in 2K, posting up 17/11ast/8r lol
only problem is he'll also be facing real NBA defenses tooSounds about right. 😎
With real NBA talent like he will have this year (Ingram, KCP, Lopez, Randle, etc), he will deliver big time in the assists category. We can debate all we want in the points and rebounds part.
He's already averaging 10 ast with the majority of talent being d-leaguers around him. Can't wait to see him deliver those outlet passes to Nance and Ingram.

He's not exactly surrounded by a bunch of studs
Brook Lopez is going to feast this year and the Lakers added a lot of guys who are good in transition. Next season should be fun to watch.
Y'all see my guy falling asleep at the game last night?
It's like a fuckin cult
Only when he's on his A game.Isn't this how he usually coaches?
UuuhhhSounds about right. 😎

Probably dreaming of Lonzo as a Cav
BothUuuhhh

I have difficulty distinguishing whether Lakers and Celtics fans especially buy into their hype or are fucking around
