Is that A HEALTHY GRANT HILL AND A HEALTHY 39 YEAR OLD HAKEEM OLAJUWON running around while Vince Carter is on the ground?
Crazymoogle said:Alas, that's just a healthy Hakeem and a a healthy (Horace) grant.
Scratch that, judged by all of the wrappings, Hakeem doesn't look healthy - he looks like a mummy. And now that I think of it, Toronto trading for the undead basically sounds like their current acquisition plan.

HalfPastNoon said:Well, at least Bill Simmons will be pimping the man, myth, and legend that is Gary Payton. Boston just assured themselves a spot in the Finals with this move.
It is sad to see the 2nd best PG ever behing Magic being traded around, though; damn near brings a tear to my eye... and for the fuck who called him a 'bench cancer' -- STFU.
and a shitty offensive system

as for Vince, the reason he wants out of Toronto is simple: He's a bitch. This is the guy that whined his way out of his shoe deal with Puma because the shoes hurt his feet. Fucking crybaby.

Shinobi said:I wouldn't call him a bust...he simply shouldn't have been drafted that high (the Raptors drafting record has been pretty woeful once you get by Damon, T-Mac and Vince). He developed into a pretty good rebounder and passer in 2003, and can get a few garbage hoops. Last season was a wash because he was injured for most of it, and never really had time to get back on his feet. To be honest I was kinda sad to see him go...he's a hard worker and doesn't quit, despite not being blessed with a lot of talent. And he's a nice guy too. So I hope he does well.
HalfPastNoon said:Uh, he sucks. That's a fact. Only the shitty Raptors would draft a player of that calibur and think he'd be able to produce. Of course, it seems they've repeated their mistake of 3 years ago with their selection this year. LOL. I'd hate to be a Raptors fan right now...seemingly no light at the end of the tunnel. Oh well, at least you all can enjoy the visiting teams.
Shinobi said:When did I say he was Ben Wallace you dumb fuck?
And like you should talk...the Sonics have what, a choke aritst in Ray Allen and 9 white guys on their squad. I'd rather watch Team Italy.
HalfPastNoon said:How did you come to the conclusion that Ray Allen is a choke artist? He's nothing of the sort, however, he is CLUTCH when it matters. Unlike his presumed trading partner Vince "I got a cold -- can't play." Carter. What are the over/under's on VC being injured this year? 2 to 1? 5 to 1?
Blackace--
I was referring to Michael Bradley, the brilliant draft selection of the Toronto Raptors.
Blackace said:Even so... After GP who was the Sonics last great draft pick? (Not saying that Michael Bradley was a good choice at allllllllllllllllllll)
HalfPastNoon said:Lewis, Radmonavic, and Collinson(who will develop into a great PF according to Team USA coaches and reps who saw him in action last year). The Sonics have a great, young nucleus, but they're going to need a decent coach who'll instill some discipline and teach them the in's and out's of defense, and a good PG/C would be nice, too.
Miguel said:He'd be Houston's problem right now if Seattle hadn't given him that last contract. Although, I doubt we'd ever have signed him. If we had, he'd have probably become Scottie Pippen 2
Isn't there already a Scottie Pippen 2?Miguel said:If we had, he'd have probably become Scottie Pippen 2
HalfPastNoon said:I think Lewis is a good player, but damn, he needs to get his head in the damn game. He's still very immature and it shows. Honestly, someone needs to knock him the fuck out so he'd wake up and realize what he's playing for. He has a lot of talent, but the apathy needs to go. You'd think that wouldn't be a problem after what he went through on draft night, but I guess not...
Blackace said:Lewis and I have the same birthday... so say happy birthday to him today.. just a little fun fact
Allen-for-Carter trade
possible, report says
Sonics All-Star guard reportedly
interested in joining Raptors
Sonics All-Star guard Ray Allen has told friends in Toronto that he is interested in playing for the Raptors, the Toronto Star reported Saturday.

TORONTO - Ray Allen of the Seattle Sonics is interested in playing for the Toronto Raptors, according to a handful of sources, the Toronto Star reported Saturday.
The Raptors probably would have to trade disenchanted superstar Vince Carter to the Sonics to make a deal for Allen plausible.
"He's interested in coming," one source close to Allen told the Star. "He thinks it'd be the right spot for him."
However, there is no sense the Raptors and Sonics have discussed any players, and Toronto general manager Rob Babcock told the Star on Thursday he is in no rush to trade Carter.
Carter, a five-time All-Star, through his agent Mark Steinberg and never in his own words, has let it be known he would be open for a deal, the Star reported, and reports have said New York is one of his preferred destinations.
It is believed the only player on the Knicks roster who would interest Babcock would be point guard Stephon Marbury, the Star reported. However, Marbury's contract, which has $91 million left on it, makes his chances of becoming a member of the Raptors remote, the Star reported.
However, Allen presents an intriguing possibility as someone with close ties to friends in Toronto from his days with the Milwaukee Bucks and someone who has many of the same attributes as Carter, the Star reported.
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 23 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Sonics last season, when he battled ankle injuries for about half the season.
He has the type of up-tempo game that would fit perfectly with the style new coach Sam Mitchell wants the Raptors to play, the Star reported, and he could share the court with Jalen Rose and Rafer Alston in a high-powered backcourt.
Allen is due to make about $14.5 million this season and is on the last year of his contract, the Star reported. His deal is worth enough that he could be traded for Carter (about $12 million) with very little salary cap issues to be moved to Seattle.
The Sonics have not made any public declaration about Allen's desire to be moved, just as the Raptors kept Carter's request close to the vest until the latter's agent went public, the Star reported.
One source told the Star on Friday that Allen has hired an agent to help him deal with Sonics management.
Previously, Allen broke with NBA tradition and negotiated his own contract extension with the Bucks, hiring a lawyer to look over the final papers, the Star reported.
Vince missed ten games. It's that simple. And half of those games missed was because of a sprained ankle on Bruce Bowen's sliding foot. And we both know what Ray Allen had to say about him just a few days prior.

Shinobi said:Didn't Kobe leave Addidas because his shoes looked ugly as fuck and couldn't sell to the homeless if they were marked down to a nickel? At least the Puma thing was a bit more pratical (actually, that was probably money too).
