Here's what's going to happen...There are going to be a ton of teams with free cap space and not as many FA's well deserving of that money. Teams that have a ton of cap space but strike out on their number 1 FA will then look to sign someone like Barnes who is still young and has potential. B/c there are many teams thinking the same say, his value will be driven up just because every team has cap space and he's a player with an upside still.

Also don't forget that losing franchises generally have to overpay to get equivalent talent.

See Warriors through mid 90's-> most of the 00's...

Example off the top of my head- the year we lost Baron Davis, FO then turned around and offered a ridiculous contract to Arenas (thankfully Wizards matched) but then we turned around and threw that money at Corey Maggette simply because he averaged something like 7 FT's a game to go along with his scoring (and offered nothing else).

Vogel had been playing small ball early in the season, until he couldn't win games with PG-13 at the 4.

Larry wants to find a coach who can play small ball and win games.

I feel like if I already made millions, I'd be more interested in potential extra rings as a starter rather than another couple million to add to the pile.

Pacers led the league in blown 4th quarter leads leading to losses. And Game 5 vs. the Raptors only exacerbated the trend.

Perhaps that's what Bird was alluding to regarding the players' tendency to tune out.

I'm kinda disappointed that the Heat Raptors game is on ESPN tonight. It makes it even worse that I have to listen to Jon Barry be salty about the Heat for the next couple of hours.

Rodman did it almost every playoff series for the Bulls, Oakley for the knicks, Malone for the Jazz etc.

I mean I kind of get the running up the score thing. Like breaking the 3pt record by running up on say the 76ers during the regular season is kind of like, "dude seriously?". But a goddamn playoff game? Are you shitting me?
