NBA Regular Season 2017-18 |OT| KD's chip, IT's hip, LeBron's Sinking Ship

People were desperate to make the Durant comparisons, and there are some similarities, but Ingram secretly is not a very good shooter. He'll probably figure out how to use his length around the rim and defensively a bit better though. I'm just not sure what Ingram does well at an NBA level. To be honest though I wasn't a big fan of his out of college.

I can't help but to agree I'm trying to see one positive in his game..so far there's none.

I don't understand how he turned into a bad shooter in the NBA.

He was a good shooter in college. Then again so was Lonzo.

Lakers need Caldwell-Pope. This back court is just dreadful. You can just spend all your energy guarding Ball and know that no one else on the team can create a shot.

They'll be the 10th or 9th best team in the west just because of tough the west is.

Clippers are another team that should trust the process
Nah. While that might be true, it's far from guaranteed. Clippers have a over/under of around 43 or 45 iirc, and they're a team that I could conceivably see going all the way to both 37 and 51 wins.

Incredibly high variance.

I really don't get why lakers wanted Russell gone so bad.

Were they really that upset over the whole swaggy p situation?

They wanted Mozgov's contract gone bad. Supposedly management and the coaches had soured on him. I think he's talented but I'm not sure he'll ever live up to the hype.

Toxic locker room.
People at jobs get fired for making the culture in the workplace terrible.
If you have a player branded as a snitch and your teammates can't trust you when they go out to kick it and talk non basketball stuff, a team will never gel fully.

That or they were deadset on Lonzo.. so I can only imagine Lakers front office didn't want some potential ongoing beef between the two PG's.

Russell can drop buckets tho.

Lol, Lebron's definitely not going to come to this. And Paul George isn't either.

They may not go, but at some point some superstar is going to end up signing there, especially if they have the cap room to sign two max guys. The allure of turning the Lakers back into a competent franchise has to be tempting.
