SUCK IT DOWN, EA!
True indeed.jetjevons said:Just because the NBA turned down the initial offering doesn't mean they will turn down successive, larger offerings.

Hollywood said:NBA should take it honestly, the way their business is down - they are stupid not too. There's no MJ's or Bird's coming through that door - they better get as much $$$ from marketing as they can now.
Yup, they can just replace the Turbo meters with Travel meters.DarienA said:Wow if EA might be trying to kill Ubi's And1 game.... hmmmm an And1 game could sell well in the states.
FrenchMovieTheme said:depends on how much money it is. i doubt EA would offer money equal to what mlb/nhl would get in royalties from all the other games.
anyways, i'm glad EA didnt get this deal and i hope they get no more exclusives (as far as sports are concerned). i think the nfl deal was a bummer, but the silver lining is at least it's madden which is by far and away the best football game on the market. it would suck if nba live (which is inferior to espn nba overall) were the only BBall game.
And that would DM by himself, except we can't count him as an entire person?GhaleonEB said:But according to 99% of hardcore NBA fans on this board....

Oh that would suck.....but most likely..Joe said:EA has got to be gearing up for a console.

As an avid baseball fan(best sport around baby)and a fan of both World Series Baseball(I refuse to call it that trashy ESPN name) and MVP I'm happy as can be that all 3rd partys still have the option to make fully licensed baseball games. Whether its Slugfest,World Series,or MVP,anyone,I'm given a choice, thank god for that.

Most important thing in article.Sources have told me, however, that the NBA has rejected EA's initial offer.
