If it's all about the voice, I want some uggos with amazing voices, and seeing the judges reactions. When that pretty girl came on (the one with the million views online) I almost turned it off.
Still an interesting show.

For those interested, she's the "social media guru" for this show.
Prior to this I knew her as a funny comedy podcast guest.
LocoMrPollock said:She kind of seems to have the worst team right now. Voice and looks wise. Maybe she'll pick up some better ones next week.
Levine has the best, and Cee Lo and Blake have pretty good teams as well.
JCX said:This makes things interesting for the X Factor. Between idol upping production values and The Voice having judges as coaches, the only gimmicks x-factor has left are groups and judge votes for elimination.
shidoshi said:Sonia Rao is suuuuuuuuuuuuch a hottie it's ridiculous
JCX said:They'll all pick 8 each, then each team will compete for four spots on each coach's final team, then it's pretty much like idol from there I think.
Just realized that NBC will have both The Voice and America's Got Talent on at the same time. People are really going to be burned out by the time X Factor gets here.

and 32 got picked?
There was a short montage of singers that didn't make it during the second(?) hour.shidoshi said:I'm pretty certain there were far, far more blind auditions. They just only picked to show a few of the people who didn't get through who they thought were worth showing. Otherwise, plenty of people probably tried and never got shown on-air.
Lathentar said:Second episode was not as entertaining as the first. Not nearly as much bickering between the judges, especially since they all became very selective toward the end with a lot of people only getting one judge to buzz in.
But third-place NBC also has plenty to crow about courtesy of week two of singing competition The Voice, which perked up to an 8.1/12 from 9-11 p.m. Comparably, that built by eight percent from its stellar debut one week earlier (7.5/12 on April 26, which translated into 11.78 million viewers and a 5.1/13 among adults 18-49). Here is the half-hour breakdown:
The Voice (NBC)
9:00 p.m.: 7.7/11 (#3)
9:30 p.m.: 8.4/12 (#3)
10:00 p.m.: 8.3/13 (#2)
10:30 p.m.: 8.1/13 (#1)

jwluther said:Anybody else watching this tonight? They're moving on to the "battle rounds" - contestants pair off in duets, and only one moves on to the next round.
Just what I was thinking about this making idol seem dated. I hope Frenchie makes it. Taralyn's voice was shrill.nextgeneration said:Hell yeah. This show stomps all over Idol, it's not even funny. Idol seems so outdated compared to this.
He announces the "contenders" and they show him here and there but yea hes mostly just a voice in the background. I dont love American Idol but Ryan Seacrest is a pretty decent host all things considered. Carson is just a dead stick. Just sitting there talking at the camera.mcrae said:i find it hilarious that, after 30 minutes of show, carson finally makes an appearance. i know i only heard his voice once before, but i dont think he was shown.
looks like producers are agreeing with GAF in that he is worthless lol
