Damn losing Poy stings. I feel for the kid. He had a lot to prove this year. Fuck this sucks.
Heard about Poythress, sucks to see that happen to him when he was playing so well this year. He seemed to have figured it out after the inconsistent play of the past 2 seasons.
I still think you have the depth to win it all, but the experience takes a hit, especially with a player that is hard to guard when playing well.

Fucking sucks, he was going to graduate in 3 years and at least get drafted as a defensive specialist given the way he was playing. He is a good kid and he should have a decent chance at the league just off his defense and athleticism alone. If he spends his entire recovery period working on dribbling and shooting he could have a chance to improve his stock even further though.
By itself it shouldn't hurt the play of the team that much, should be better on offense with Willis or Lyles taking his minutes, but possibly worse of defense to offset that. Will place more pressure on WCS to be the shutdown wing defender, which was Poy's role in the team, and might end up being an issue when we run into a team that has both a wing and a good offensive PF. But I guess we could go big with Johnson and rotate Towns onto the PF and have WCS guard the wing.
It's just really shitty that he's not going to be able to play and have a chance to be on the court and hopefully play for the national title.

You guys have a chance now that UK's entire offensive scheme is being overhauled. RIPlatoon. RIP "We don't have subs, we have reinforcements"
Eh(assuming Booker and Ulis play) the only thing that will change is Willis(or a combo of Willis and Lyles) takes Poy's spot in the rotation.
The substitution pattern will stay about the same.
We lose our best (or second best after WCS) wing defender, and gain better spacing on offense.
The only thing that really affects the platoon system is Ulis being out, as without a PG to run the second group's offense, the system doesn't really work.

If UNC still can't hit the broad side of a barn it doesn't matter who UK puts out there.
A team that can't shoot and doesn't know how to (or just refuses to) pump the brakes and change tempo is exactly the team that plays right into UK's hands.

Simmons is insanely good. So jealous the LSU scooped him up. Will be an amazing player.
God, only thing that could make that ref crew worse is if TV teddy were the third ref.

Yeah, on both sides. A lot of the blocks being called are legit blocks as well.
I don't even know if it was the right call or wrong, but when a ref has to run all the way across the court to call a foul that happened right at the feet of another ref, well, nope.
Not just that, run over and point at the guy like 8 times in a row.
Total 'LOOK AT ME!' move.
