For example the Pope is a jesuit ( I'm currently taking a world religon class as I'm buddhist lol).

There are different orders within Catholicism that tend to have different service emphases. Jesuits tend to be associated with education as are the order of the holy cross which Notre dame and some other schools were started by. Then there's dominicans and franciscans, etc.
