This was back when EA cared about what they put out because they were still trying to win the loyalty of the gamers. Now they have that loyalty, they can put out crap and you EA FANBOYS will eat it up like it's candy.
Actually, I would guess they don't see the need for that anymore since that function is literally built into the game. It's in the practice mode I think. He tells you all about the sets and the plays, then the game demonstrates the play then you practice it (as much as needed). It's quite cool really. Much better than the old manuals ever were.

How do people get so emotionally invested in videogames that they wind up saying crap like this?

Did Ea run over your dog jeez....you throw the word FANBOY around when it's obvious your that you yourself are a fanboy....I think you need two things, well three...

1. You need to learn how to read, you misunderstood countless things said to you in this thread

2. Stop insulting people because the mods do not mess around they will ban you...

3. Get a life......seriously....I HATE EA AND ITS STOOPID DORK FANS!@!!!111111... you sound really ignorant, and noone is going to take you seriously regardless of their affiliation to any company.

Maybe not for tackles, but you could lunge for at least half that with your running back.
I remember in 2k1 (which I loved playing btw, though not realistic at all) being able to dive into a potential tackler with a blocker (any blocker, into any tackler - even a WR into a D-lineman) and knocking them flat on their asses. :lol

We used to play with 4 players online (on the same team) and run it and the other 3 people would just start as O-linemen and instantly dive at the hike... knocking down most of the D-line... then just keep switching and diving, switching and diving, literally knocking all the defense down on it's ass as our RB player would run for insane yards.

Yes, it was bigtime cheese... but it was so funny to watch we couldn't stop doing it and laughing. :D

Maybe I don't want to sit through an hour of practice mode guessing what button does what and having a tutorial on how to throw a pass. Give me a manual that I can take in the crapper with me and read while I'm busy dropping a deuce. A manual that I can go back to incase I forget to do something or I'm in a middle of a game in which I can PAUSE and look at the manual. Not something I have to save my game and quit.... go through the training again to figure out.

We are because we got ass-raped by the faggots at EA.

Well you might want to throw some of that blame on the NFL who apparently does not see the difference between a video game and a bottle of Gatorade.

My apologies in advance for all the fans of the ESPN NFL 2K series who's sanity is still intact. Some of us have moved on with our lives, bought Madden 2006 and downloaded updated rosters to keep ESPN NFL 2K5 alive one more year.

Yes I think... I'm no expert. It's in one of the game modes.

Also, I was not talking about what you want... rather, giving a possible logical explanation as to why they took that out of the manual. They put some time and effort into the mode in the game and perhaps want to emphasize it.

Or maybe, it's just because they sux. :D

:lol :lol

You owned yourself again...if you pause the game, it brings up a menu where you can check out all the controls. That's much easier than looking for your manual, finding the right page, and looking it up.

Praytell from where you downloaded these rosters?

Well if you have to ask you must not be that big a fan of the ESPN game. The obvious sites would be apparent to a fan of the game. Plus after reading your posts I doubt you could handle the Action Replay and coverting the roster over.

But at least you know some of us can enjoy 2K5 with updated rosters and all the rookies. :)

He's not talking about the controls, but the Madden breakdowns of plays and sets that used to be in the manuals but is now a game mode.

You are right. I can't handle the Action Replay. The storage capacity is too small for me. That is why I chose the MegaXKey. Do you know what that is?

Another file transfering device that will be useless to you since you are clueless as to where the updated roster files are.

So what do I win?

"original Madden on the PS2?" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Now THAT's funny!

The "Original Madden" goes back to the Sega Genesis - circa 1994.
Actually the original Madden goes back to the PC in 1989. And the Sega Genesis version came out in 1990.

Honestly I never considered that people would take the time to accurately maintain the rosters for last-years game. Thank you for giving me hope.

malbert69 isn't going anywhere because he's obviously a mod's joke character. Why else would a junior member be able to get away with so much shit?

It's funny because I remember that box art from back in the day. My apologies for being incorrect. I guess Madden '94 was the first iteration I purchased.

What am I risking - being banned from a videogame forum?

anyone feel up for a game of madden on live so we can play and talk about this thread? :lol GT the same as it is here if so.

malbert, try here....

http://forums.operationsports.com

although you'll have to create a login to see the roster forums. i know bdoughty hangs out there and is probably where he is referring to.

Nope I do not hang there, I was the admin of the forums long ago and now post at anohter sports gaming site. Been almost 2 years since I have been there. I still would not wish Malbert on OS. I definately would not help him find the file as he is what is wrong with sports gamers.
