Need for Speed: Most Wanted Wii U Demo!Dat EA support.[Alex Ward of Criterion Games]

Well, despite the guy who's "driving" which is something he obviously sucks at, all the new features seem solid. Definitely not $59.99 solid but there's something.
If the Wii U doesn't get this year's NFS (Most Wanted 3 or whatever) I might pick this one up.

Picking this up to reward the effort put into the port, and also because I haven't bought a realistic (non-kart) racing game in years.

Also I am absolutely shocked that a game which is not a direct port of a PS360 game looks noticeably better than the PS360 game.

Giantbomb's quick look sold me on this game, and the better graphics/off TV play of the Wii U version are big bonuses. I just hope the online community will be strong since that's what I'll be buying it to play.

Wow, a port needs to look like that. I thought EA is gonna to do a shitty port no one buys - but this one is awesome and I'm going to buy it!

I was going to pick up the Lego game along with monster hunter, but now I can't decide whether to get most wanted or Lego. I guess I'll have to wait for more previews

Gotta love Critereon! Cool enough to give the Vita a version built for the platform, and now giving U owners an enhanced game instead of a sloppy 360/PS3 port.

Interesting

He stated that the WiiU is "a very powerful piece of hardware"

He also says the game is by far the best looking version released and was able to use the textures/assets from the high-end PC game.

Crazy that these release dates couldn't have been spaced out better.

Need for Speed
Monster Hunter
Lego City

all get released pretty much the same day.

I'll get it if it's 60FPS (which is unlikely).

I don't think I ever want to buy a 30FPS racing game again, it just makes such a big difference in racers.

Wasn't even considering this before. Now I'll definitely keep my eyes open for it, especially considering the Rayman situation.

I.. I wouldn't hold my breath

This game does have an offline VS mode, correct? Against AI or I guess someone else locally if you wanted. As opposed to the recent Hot Pursuit?

Glad they did a nice port, but I can't play this on Wii u due to the lack of analog triggers. I know I'll be @ 100% throttle 99% of the time, but being able to hit corners at a lower throttle is key for me even in arcade racers. I'll wait for a PC sale.

Yeah i wonder how drifting will feel in this version... Damn Nintendo, should have been analog.

real street racers don't throttle down they drift

there are ways analogue accelerating and breaking could be done, be surprised if they implement them but you never know

Jeah i know fps is frames per second. But i mean do you notice it while playing? Was looking at a youtube example and i could not make out what the difference was, really.. But the term i see quiet allot around here

Edit, ah, okay..

Need for Speed is coming out in March? Really?

Serious question...I thought it was much later. If so that's awesome.

Youtube vids are all 30fps so you can't use that to see the difference.
