So damn true. I love when I get compliments on my shoes (I recently bought a brown pair that cost around ~120). Those laces though :q...better be pimpin those shoes out with a nice outfit. Cot damn. Good investment.

7-10 years? What am I doing wrong with mine? I buy a new pair of dress shoes 1-2 times a year >.> (In the $150-$200 range)

To be honest, to have them last very long is a pain in the ass because it needs quite a lot of maintenance. Basic rules are :
- Shoe trees (wood, unvarnished) are compulsory (if you don't put them at all times when not wearing the shoes, creases will wear/destroy the leather within 2 years).
- Protective rubber (outside) sole is recommended.
- You can't wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row, ever ! If you do, sweat will not have the time to dry and your shoes will be worn very quickly.
- Cream polish should be applied at least twice a month for shoes worn regularly. Cream polish is meant to protect/nourish the leather and avoid it drying and ripping. It's not to be confused with the shoe-shine (in paste form) which is exclusively meant to make them shine.
- If shoes are rained upon and soaked, they should be allowed to dry for at least 3 days, on the side and far away from any heat source.
Doing that will drastically improve the durability of leather shoes, but it's quitea lot of work.

On the negative, the camera angle changes, when they occur are pretty frusturating. Think Ikaruga's opening bits in each level where you shoot the opening groups/waves and then the ship flies towards you and the title of the level appears. But now, enemies still appear and you're vulnerable to their shots and collision while having to adjust to the distance and change in angle. Einhander did this aspect better in the 90s.
The 3d, unpolished graphics make some of the enemies hard to see sometimes, so when the camera pans and changes, I would die because my ship shifted right on top of an enemy I didn't see. I think memorization in STGs is important, so if you memorize when the camera changes along with where enemies appear you'll be fine. I just don't like it in this game.
Again, these are my impressions from about 7 hours of play. Sadly, I'm already thinking about selling this and getting Bullet Soul this weekend to play until Akai Katana's release next month.

Owned most of these before. I've been in a mega racing game mood lately, so I picked them up for the collection cheap on Amazon. All "used" but "like new" and sold by a mix of Amazon Warehouse Deals and sellers that do fulfillment by Amazon. They were eligible for Prime shipping and I had them within 2 days (damn that place is dangerous on my wallet).
Only one I have never played is Ridge Racer 2 for PSP and I'm stoked!

Just got this in the mail in less than a week from Amazon.com's day sale for the Dreamcast Collection on XBOX 360.

Could it be that they changed they statue since the promotion shots, and the one posted here is the one they actually produced? The one in the promo shot does look like it would tip over with that base.

Despite it not following the manga 100% (they butchered a two important arcs), Brotherhood is way more watchable for me than the first series is because it follows the manga.overcast said:
