Just got back from Japan...

Game stuff is two Taiko no Tatsujin controllers & two games, one is boxed/new, other was unboxed/used. Pokémon typing game for the DS that came with a nice keyboard. Also got two massive Taiko drum plushes which are good for practising real Taiko (I'm on the London team) as they have a wood inside, makes a loud noise. Oh, Monster Hunter cookies too, they're not worth the money but nice box.

Regret not picking up the Official Gold Nintendo Wii Nunchuck or Super NES Classic Controller but I had no room left in any of my 5 cases/bags.

Yep, same. PSX Soundtrack made that game for me. The game also plays a lot slower on the Playstation. I always considered DOOM to be survival horror until I played the PC version years later.

A friend grabbed these for me at a local garage sale

12 inch G.I Joe Bison doll and japanese Cammy Doll - $5 a piece. Bison looks like he's wearing pajamas, and comes with a rocket launcher. For some reason Cammy has black magic marker on her nips/bush - really strange since it was sealed. A mystery that perhaps I'll never uncover.

It's a lot darker than Kick Ass. They basically only share two things, high school setting, and graphic violence. It's short but I believe the second arc starts this fall. You might want to wait till that's out too to get into it. This first arc plays out a bit like the origin/start of a greek tragedy.

It has gotten quite crazy now a days for Jordans... as an avid fan, I use uptempoair.com pickyourshoes and oqium.nl

all legit sites and usually charge retail or slightly above... they are also secure in their shipments...I really hope the hypebeasts get out of the game but until then - preordering your Jordans is the way to go.

I'll be honest, I'm a new head. I guess the retro 3s got me interested in getting some of them.

But man, the hypebeast make it difficult. I was unable to get the 10 (Chicago, didn't care too much about the royal blues) or the Red and White 14s.

And Nike now has a new policy of no preorders, so that's out of the window.

I hope I can get a pair of the 12 Playoffs this Saturday. Hypebeasts be damned.

Going to put them through their paces with my favourite test BluRay - Tokyo Drift. Specifically the opening race between Wabaki Texan vs Tool Time kid.

How do you find it? Can it comfortably run 1080p video or lots of browsing tabs, downloads etc? I run web servers in my offtime...

Honestly haven't had too much of a play with it because after I got it I was on a family holiday.

I am streaming a 1080i video over the wireless and its buttery smooth and that is with Windows Media Player.

Loving it so far though.

• +Suuuuuuuuper quick. Both in sleep/resume, cold boot and general access times.
• +Solid build. Opens and shuts nicely
• +Appealing looks. Understated but clean. Boxey shape may not be everyones cup of tea but I prefer it to the V front
• +HUGELY impressed/chuffed that HP provide a minimal recovery image option if it takes your fancy (so Windows+Drivers+HP basics software, no 3rd party, entertainment BS). Using this image atm, upgraded to Ultimate and now rocking a Win7 Enterprise VM for Work inside it. More OEMs need to do this!
• +ETHERNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. Sorry but as some in IT I need my Ethernet, not some USB dongle shit
  
• +/- 2 USB ports, 1 HDMI + PCI-E cardslot. Not too many USB ports but honestly work is the only time I will have many devices plugged in at once and I will pickup a nice USB+Video Hub+Power hub so I have my station all setup and only 1 cable connecting it to my ultrabook
  
• -Touchpad is a minor let down (sometimes). Right-click can be a bit iffy but I'll just rock a USB at work

I had it on preorder from GAME.co.uk (since no retailer had it in offer here in Croatia) but then, when I found out how big the box was, coupled with the fact that GAME doesn't send packages over 1kg overseas...I had to cancel it. No to mention the whole administration thing (I thought GAME was a gonner and that Namco would reallocate stock).

I still got my day 1 PC retail edition + the standard EE for X360 is on the way. #DoubleDip

Got some cool stuff over the last 2 weeks:

The Component Selector was $3 and the Wii Wheels were $1 each.

My flea market finds from 4/8 - paid $18 total. Mark of Kri was $5 at K-Mart.

Got the guide at Half-Price-Books, Dragon Quest was on clearance at Target, and Wal-Mart randomly had new copies of GrimGrimoire for $15!

Got Xenoblade at launch (with the artbook, luckily).


I celebrated my 29th birthday on Sunday (4/15) so I picked up a couple things over the weekend:

The DSLite and MS Pro Duo were on clearance, Fishing Resort was only $20 @ Gamestop (and it's really fun!!), got the 3DS games at Gamestop (Spirit Camera is very short but really fun!!), Borderlands GOTY for $20 from Best Buy, and Princess and the Frog was finally ~$20 on Amazon so I grabbed that as well.
