So my friend grabbed me the very last non-preorder 360 SE FightStick from my local Gamestop. He da best mang! Giving it a test run while I finish work...he's not impressed with the buttons, but I was planning on swapping them out anyway.

This is just beautiful.

Screw it, I'm gonna wait and try to grab a Norris case the next time they restock, and make my own stick.

Till then I'll use my Saturn usb pad.

Not sure why folks are too concerned with their Amazon orders. It was available for an alloted time and then was closed. Likely they know they are getting a certain amount and will ship those preordered out by the 25th, if not slightly earlier.

Amazon even opened up preorders for the PS3 version a second time in mid January for a spell. Amazon runs a tight ship.

Well, that's when I snagged my preorder, so who knows if Amazon might be like "lol jk". Not that they've ever done that to me before.

I just order this from Amazon. Its basically as good as the TE minus the buttons and thats only about 20 bucks to replace. It got a good tier ranking over at http://sdtekken.com/tech-area/arcade-sticks/arcade-stick-ranking/

RANK - SS

* Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition (PS3, 360)

RANK - S

* Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 SA (PS2)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 SA (PS3)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro SA (PS2)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro SE (PS2)
* Nubytech Street Fighter 15th Anniversary Arcade Stick - Happ Edition (PS2/Xbox)

RANK - A+

* SEGA Virtua Stick High Grade (PS3)

RANK - A

* Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 (PS2)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro Ver. A (PS2)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro EX-SE (360)

RANK - A-

* Hori Real Arcade Pro EX (360; JPN version)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro EX (360; US version)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro Amazon Japan (PS2)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 (PS3)
* Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 Amazon.co.jp Edition (PS3)

With the buttons it should be right up there in the S category.

That is beautiful. Where did you get that picture on the stick from? And where did you get it printed?

It's a Si-Tong. Hard to import though.

@Spy
I got the print with the stick... Might change it some day soon, not sure.

Thanks all who commented anyway. :)

Well, since Capcom screwed people the 2 people who were willing to sell me a 360 TE Stick no longer have those orders. So once again, looking to buy a TE 360 Stick. Hit me up in PMs, email at chaoticprout@gmail.com or aim at chaoticprout. Let me know. Paying fairly well.

You know what, screw it. Very unlikely I'm getting a TE in the next 6 weeks and I'm not waiting that long. A Hori EX it is.

Just hope Amazon doesn't have that one backordered...

Snaku said:
Just got off the phone with Capcom, and canceled my order. Guess I'm just gonna go ahead and order an HRAP3. Should have just done that in the first place back when Amazon had them for $90.

I know the stick is a sanwa, but how are the hori buttons? Do I need to replace them asap with sanwa or seimetsu?

did you get your money back instantly? I bought the game for 360 and the fightpad weeks ago and got a backordered email today... I called them up and asked to get a refund. They said it would take 5-7 days for me to get my money back in Paypal....?

entraik said:
well there is money missing from my paypal... so obviously they did.
Oh wait, there is from mine too. :lol

I'm still not sure if I want to cancel though, especially if Amazon doesn't pull through.

Sorry man. :(

I paid by credit card so they hadn't charged me yet.

I'm surprised MarkMan hasn't posted this here, already, since, lately, he's just been posting duplicate posts, across several different forums.

From SRK:

Really busy day for me today at work, any immediate concerns? Please email me at markman@sdtekken.com , Don't PM me here because my PM box is almost full.

I did talk to our programmers and there IS an issue with PS3 HD Remix that somehow was changed from our final prototype of the sticks.

So to confirm, there is an issue with turbo module controls on PS3 version of HD remix only. This is in regards to both arcade sticks. We are working on fixing it for future stick releases. If this is a DEALBREAKER for anyone, please contact Mad Catz.

Probably did competitive SRK a favor for those of you that hate turbo users lol...

Have a good night guys... Won't be posting/reading much tomorrow cuz I'll be at the SF4 launch party.

So, this confirms that my turbo buttons, not working in HDR, is not by design. Like I said before, it's no big deal for HDR, but my concern, now, is whether it'll be a problem in other games, as well. Regardless of people's individual opinions of turbo, if the stick has it, as a feature, then I'd want it to work. If MadCatz' programmers say that the end-product was somehow changed from the final prototype of the sticks, then does that mean MadCatz accidentally sent a beta build into production? Could that explain the hit or miss PC compatibility, or why the PS3 stick shows up as "USB Wired Stick 8388", instead of "Street Fighter IV FightStick", according to another person, who claimed to have the 360 stick?

Mark also says MadCatz is working on fixing the issue for future stick releases. Does that mean future batches of TE/SE FightSticks, or different product lines, altogether. If it's the latter, then that would mean MadCatz has no intention of rectifying the problem with the current PS3 FightStick line. I guess I'll call MadCatz, when I get a chance, and see their official take on it. Or, at least, the phone rep's take...

Food for thought...

Man this thing is gorgeous, but I SUCK with a stick. I gotta practice more with this thing.

I'm counting on someone getting super mad, saying "F THIS SHIT I HATE STICKS", then selling their 360 TE stick to me! :)

(note: for reals though, if you are a person who might do this, just keep practicing! do not rage, be one with the stick!)

I've already become way more consistent with hadoukens. Shoryukens are still a bit random, but less so than the damn pad.

I need some template help. Having a hard time finding high res shots of these pics I want to use for my own template for my TE stick. Preferably I need white backgrounds because of the layout I have. If anyone could help me out, would be awesome. Here's the three I'm looking for:

May want to consider an octo gate, but I guess it's whatever you prefer :) Personally, I'm too impatient/lazy to wait to get used to a square gate, I need those extra corners damnit!

I don't know if you are letting the stick center after hitting the > part of the shoryukens, but I find it works much better if you do a straight line from the > to v rather then bringing it back to the center.

edit: like a Z

So these are impressions written for someone totally casual, with some money to burn. Not like Third Strike SRK EVO champion here or some shit.

Anyways, growing up playing SFII, I did it mostly on a controller on snes or genesis against the many local neighborhood kids. Most of us were mashers, some weren't, but we were definitely scrubs. By the time SFIII came out, I was long gone into shooters and so was the rest of the neighborhood.

My experience with sticks is slight. I spent half a year in korea with family and during that time my cousins took me to the arcade and we played pretty hardcore during my time there. They taught me a lot. Since then though, it's been strictly pad. I've goofed around with a HORI EX at a buddies though.

Took forever getting to my store, but I am just glad it did finally. Lots of SRK members bitching about scratches and crap, could be true, but mine was flawless out of the box.
P1016357.jpg

Just some minor dust. No smudges or scratches.

Out of the box the thing has a great weight to it and is pretty big. I am a tall guy, but I am also pretty slender. So I am glad to see that it can sit in big boned and skinny man laps. The weight is heavy enough to hold the thing steady in my lap unlike the Hori EX.
P1016356.jpg

The screws on the bottom are stripped like some others say, it's going to take some work to open it. Luckily all the work needs to be from the top anyways.

Turbo buttons work. Haven't checked the headset yet.

Buttons are activated by the slightest of slight touches, but you guys knew that already.
The stick feels amazing in the hand, I still need to get used to it though. I can already see an improvement over my D-pad game.

Great product. I am not disappointed one bit.

Oh, and Toodles mailed out my Cthulhu this week. I should have it dual console ready soon enough.

Nothing special...

*Seimitsu pushbuttons
*Added spring for stiffer stick
*Bat-top

Looks like a giant elongated Chun-Li.

(Her left thigh as her left arm, Ryu's right arm as her left leg, Ryu's left arm as her right leg.)
