Can't find the info anywhere, so asking here:

The Sanwa JLF-TP-8T will fit the Mad Catz SE stick right?

Yes, but you have to rotate the pcb. The instructions are on lizardlick's website under "more info".

Yes.

all flat mounting plate sanwa sticks that use the standard JLF holes will fit.

So will Seimitsu S plate sticks that use the corner holes (namely the LS-32-01)

If anyone is planning to order from akihabarashop.jp, I got told that if you order before Sunday it'll leave early next week.

Just letting you guys know! :D

MarkMan: I finally got my hands on an SE fighstick I ordered it off of MadCatz site last week and I gotta say, I'm impressed. I've never owned any MadCatz controllers or joysticks in the past, but this one's pretty darn nice. The stick's got just the right amount of resistance and all of the buttons feel good and responsive. I'm still waiting for the TE stick that I had reserved at GameStop, but I think this puppy will serve me nicely until I get it. :D

Well done, man!

Okay, so I am set up to mod my Fightstick SE.

I am going to make a Ryu-themed stick, so I am getting:

1x Seimitsu LS-32-01 Joystick w/Sanwa adapter and red bat top
6x Seimitsu PS-14-KN red skeleton pushbuttons (for the Jab/Strong/Fierce and Short/Medium/Roundhouse buttons)
2x Seimitsu PS-14-KN white skeleton pushbuttons (for the last button in each row)

Now, I was also interested in giving the stick an octagonal restrictor plate, and in making sure the tension was as close to Happ hard as possible. Thus, I have two more questions:

1. Can I use the Seimitsu LS-56 octagonal restrictor with the LS-32 in my Fightstick SE to give it an octagonal restrictor?

2. I understand you can mod the LS-32 with an LS-56 spring to increase tension...is that true as well?

Let me know; I'm gonna put my order in at Lizardlick today, and post pics of my mod when it's done!

I just went ahead and ordered all of this. I am sure the buttons and stick will work, but I really hope the additional things I'm trying (spring mod and octagonal restrictor) work in the Fightstick SE too.

Now to get/make some quality Ryu art to put on it!

Thanks GamePnoy74 for the bat top as well; I hope I can get close to that Happ feel with it!

Ok I can confirm that you can return B&N orders back to a gamestop store. Just returned the SE stick this morning. I can't wait for my Hori EX Pro to come :D

The rarity of arcade sticks for the Xbox 360 right now is ridiculous. I know it has to do with Street Fighter, but still. I'm finally able to afford one and I go to my Amazon wish list to see that now the Real Arcade Pro Ex is sold out. I don't want one of the SE Street Fighter sticks and it's impossible to find a TE stick right now, which is what I *really* want. I can find the HRAP EX on some other sites but the prices are all jacked up, so screw that. The upcoming (or is it out?) EX-SE looks awesome but that's just to much money...$150 on the SF TE stick is pushing it for me. All I can find for a reasonable price is the EX2 which I do not want.

Does anyone know any sites where I could actually pick up a HRAP EX for a decent price right now? This is driving me crazy. What are the chances of Mad Catz making enough TE sticks so that they are obtainable within the next month or two?

Just for anyone who's still looking for a stick, play-asia has the HRAP 360 in stock at the moment ($149.99 USD).
Shipping to the U.S. is $60+ :(

I hope in a few months I can score a used or broken SE stick and mod it full-Sanwa to use as my portable stick. I love my TE, but I wouldn't want to take it anywhere, I'd be worried something would happen to it.

Just got my HRAP EX and wow, what a stick!

This is my first arcade stick and at first it was a little rough. First of all, I'm not used to 2D fighters, so the basic mechanics of the game had me really frustrated. However, after about two days consisting of over 5 hours of play time it's finally starting to click, both in the game and with the stick itself.

I would definitely recommend this stick to anyone who's on the fence. If you can find one that is :D

I'm at work and my time to invest into further searching is a bit limited; does anyone know of a site that may have the SE Fightstick in stock still? Barring that, a store in the Denver area that may have one?

Got both of my TE sticks.

Just swapped an octagonal plate into my Xbox 360 one.

Awesome stuff.

I may sell my PS3 one in the future. (If I never use it, anyway.)

I saw this addressed earlier in the thread but can't find the post now. How does the hrap 3 compare to the madcatz SE for ps3? Any edge one has over the other? I know the SE doesn't use the quality sticks or buttons but does the hrap 3 uses either?

Sanwa stick with Hori buttons. The buttons aren't too bad and you won't really notice a difference unless you're a pro and attend tournaments.

ah k, thanks. are the buttons on the hrap3 better than those on the SE? I have the SE now and sometimes the buttons stick if i hit them at an awkward angle. Any idea if the buttons on the hrap have similar issues?

Look what JUST arrived.

I'll open it later Im hungry xD. It's an HRAP3 from amazon.

Do you live in a dorm or something? That's some ghetto carpeting you've got there. That's the type of carpet that landlords install to minimize replacement costs when they have college kids renting out their properties.

Haha yeah I do actually. :lol

Probably cheaper to swap out the SE's buttons with better ones that to buy a whole new stick as far as that goes.

So. My 2 TE sticks are almost here (Amazon) and my HRAP 3 is feeling a bit jealous.

Dilemma: I only need 2 sticks. Do I sell my awesome modded HRAP 3 which features PS3/PC AND 360 compatibility...and keep the TE sticks and mod them for the same compatibility?...

...or do I sell one of the TE sticks, which are going for over $400 on eBay right now? Keep the HRAP 3 and mod the 1 TE stick I keep with 360/PS3 compatibility later?

what would you do?

I got mine (360 and PS3) this morning as well, and I just have to say that they are F-ing amazing. From the build quality to the functionality as well as the ergomics everything on this stick has been expertly crafted (MGS3 mental meme trigger incoming: Naked Snake: ".45, huh? Incredible! The feeding ramp is polished to a mirror sheen, the slide's been reinforced, and the interlock with the frame is tightened for added precision. The sight system's original, too. The thumb safety is extended to make it easier on the finger. A long-type trigger with non-slip grooves... a ring hammer. The base of the trigger guard's been filed down for a higher grip... and not only that... nearly every part of this gun has been expertly crafted and customized."). :D :p

I love these Joysticks!
Thanks Madcatz and Seth and Markman and all who had a hand in delivering such a phenomenal product!!!

STREET FIYTAH FO! :D

*goes back to playing...*

I assume they're the same buttons on the HRAP EX, in which case, they're fine. Nice and responsive, don't stick, etc..

I was going to wait until I got my stick to make the determination on if they needed replacement, and they don't. For me, anyway.

My Jan 16th TE Amazon order shipped today, it'll be at it's destination Monday, overnight shipping.
wtf I preordered my stick December 27th with overnight shipping and haven't received any notice of my item shipping. It stills says delivery estimate Feb. 24th. =/

Edit: I preordered it for the 360.

My Jan 2 Amazon order still hasn't changed :(

Edit: And I went to GS today to try to pick up a SE to bide the time, and the manager said the closest one was 140 miles away. Ughhhhhh.

how much is the hori EX2 stick for 360 worth?

somebody just offered me $70 for mine

I believe they retailed for $59.99 in the US so that's a very good offer. I'm thinking about selling mine once my TE gets here.

Yeah...my TEs should be here on Monday.

But I'm going to order a AIB...dual PCB...debating on slim or full size, as the full size comes with the HAPP 360.

360 TE arrived from Amazon (super saver ftw!). It's awesome. Minor cosmetic scratching on the surface, and it sounds like something tiny and plastic is rattling around inside it - I'll probably open it up at some point to remove whatever that is.

But really - it's awesome. Makes it so fun to be a Blanka scrub :lol

EDIT: Actually, I don't hear the rattling anymore ::shrug::

Well, after nearly two weeks of use my SE developed the loose washer issue. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be able to get the mounting plate off to be able to disassemble to it and glue it without completely stripping the screws(so damn tight =\). Guess I'll be ordering that JLF a bit earlier than I had planned... at least I have the EX2 as a backup.

Come on now, mister "I took on credit card debt to buy an arcade stick" :lol It's the depression - frugality is cool again.

So I've got my artwork for my TE down on nice matte paper. And I'm happy with how it looks.

Now what are my options for covering it so that I can actually play on it? I have this spray on glue that I'm going to use to stick it to the metal, but I have no idea what to cover it with.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Depends on your preferences. Feature wise, it looks like your HRAP3 beats out the TE on compatibility, including BC PS2 on PS3, which you didn't mention. If you were going to mod the TE, anyway, then it would reach feature parity with your HRAP3, but have a longer stow-away cord. So, do you prefer the layout/casing of the HRAP3 or TE, and how much money would you be making/losing, going either way? Those are the things that will determine what you do. Personally, I love the layout/build of the TE stick, so I would keep that, but that's personal preference. Yeah, I could sell it on eBay, and get an HRAP3 for free, but for me, $150 isn't going to break the bank, and I'd never really be happy with the HRAP3 layout. Easy choice, for me.
