I thought it was more media-baiting than race-baiting, particularly in light of the 20 page Ahmaud Arbery thread. He said "Think this will be getting any airtime from the mainstream media?". Valid question imo. Maybe should've given a violence warning and spoiler tagged the vids though.

Is this still the case based on the below Tweet? I thought it's a valid point of discussion given how the story won't see a second of mainstream media attention, at least it didn't until the Donald commented on it. Race-baiting I don't think is entirely fair as racially charged headlines are pretty common in our society these days. Only thing that really stands out as different about this case is it's a clear cut case of a white person being victimized.

And there's why I instinctively knew not to trust you. Being disturbed by graphic violence is not the same as being "triggered", but that's obviously the false equivalence you want to make here. So there is no actual discussion to be had.

Human beings have an innate instinct not to kill and inflict harm on their own species, an instinct which is deeply rooted in the emotional and intellectual fabric of each normal person. That's why boot camp is so harsh (to train out the instinct so you can kill with impunity).
Equating that natural instinct with the kids or otherwise underdeveloped adults who throw tantrums over invented gender pronouns is way off the mark.
Not everyone is numb to watching suffering and death being inflicted on other human beings, either because they innately are or because they've watched too many cartel executions. If I'm going to watch that, I want to know what I'm getting into first.

Not all boot camps are like that though. Some of them seem like really bad summer camps where they treat trainees like a bunch of babies. And then they don't cuss at you, beat you or even yell at you. The most common punishment is where they make you hand over a piece of paper called a 341.
But there are boot camps where they are brutal to the trainees.

He was probably reported to the oblivion, as it happens a lot in that thread. I got my warning for completely bening post. I know I was reported because it was later revealed in the thread as "fuck yeah, we won". I feel for the mods, have to dealing with reports and shit like that.

I can understand that because I participated in that thread and it got really crazy at times. But I find it weird that he wasn't given a temp before a permanent ban.
BTW I'm not supporting his behavior. I just believe that people should be given a chance to change.

It was intended to be a probationary period for new accounts, but should've still been attached to a legitimate ban reason. But yes, it was apparently a common abuse vector for some of the ex-mods.

Well, yes, junior accounts being more easily permed than just temp banned is a known policy and understandable, but I understood junior culling more like "too many new users, let's just random ban some that I do not like personally".

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Elektro Demon The Shitposter? I thought not. It's not a story the Mods would tell you. It's a GAF legend. Elektro Demon was a Dark Shiposter of the GAF, so powerful and so wise he could use his topics to influence the forum to create memes… He had such a knowledge of the dark shitposts that he could even keep the ones he cared about from being permabanned. The dark side of the shitposter is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his topic creation privillages, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he showed Evilore every topic he'd posted, then Evilore permabanned him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from permabans, but not himself.
