Sorry everyone -- my partner pulled out, so I assumed I was out -- I didn't realize that other folks still needed partners. I can't trade any more due to a vacation -- maybe next year.

What really? I ended up paying $45 from a falt rate box. I thought those were supposed to be cheaper. I feel crappy now.
 
Hopefully Litflynt912 gets his parcel today as it says it's out with the courier in Phoenix, AZ. I apologise in advance for the lack of personalisation, was in a rush to get it out!

before I go into the nitty gritty of the candy swap, I really want to take a sec and thank J.M. for putting the swap together this summer and partnering me with J Tourettes....
in our IM's back and forth I thought he was so hyped about this and that made me excited in return... He went ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty...and I hope that the reciprocation is as good for you as on my end....THANK YOU!!!!!

in short, yes I did get the candy...and J Tourettes....YOU DA MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please remember, the stove is a typical FULL size American stove...4 Large Burners...

Candy brought and being guarded from family members so they dont touch it lol. Shipping first thing tomorrow. Hopefully the package gets sound and safe to JessicaPadkin. And most of all, she enjoys her treats.

Cant wait to see what she put together for us :).
 
Well, I finally got my shopping done Sunday and have everything packaged up and ready to go for Kafel, so here is the teaser pic:

Damn... looking at the crazy pics here makes me hope that I got enough stuff! I spent way over the $20 minimum, but London is expensive damn it. I think I've got some cool things for GK86, though. :D

On the other hand, he might live to regret saying he liked sour sweets.... *evil laugh*

I received my package from jessicapadkin, a big box of treats. Unfortunately, I can't post picd from my phone, so I have asked her if she could help me out wit that. Can't wait to dive in with my gf.:)

I'm shipping out my package today, hopefully it gets there in one piece.

SWEETS! I got two of everything so that GK86 and his GF had one each. The brown bags are all boiled sweets like Pear Drops (my favourites), Rosy Apples, Rhubarb and Custards etc. Three of the bags contain these MOTHERFUCKING SOUR sweets that burnt the inside of my mouth and made several of my colleagues cry. Awesome!

Just got my stash just now. Amazing!!!!! Thank You chairhome. Considering the heat at the moment, the chocolate is in perfect eating condition. Oh and you shouldn't have worried about variety, there is plenty! Shall post pics when I get home from work! :D
 
I totally forgot to take a teaser pic of the candy before packing it up just now, but the box weighs in at 7.2 lbs. Not a spare iota of space in the box, which meant the bag of marshmallows requested didn't fit, alas. Everything else fit, though. I was sort of shocked they did.

I'll post a pic of the box later; it will be shipped tomorrow.

I ended up buying like 3-ish pounds of candy there and got less than halfway to our agreed upon price.
I just went into snack shops randomly afterwards to buy the rest, so hopefully there's a decent variety in there. I'm getting excited to see what kind of goodies Austria has to offer in terms of candy, and the receipt pic just adds to it.

Yeah, can't deny that would be disappointing.

Got my haul from Crucified today, earlier than expected! All looks good to me, looking forward to diving in tonight! Thanks a lot man! The John Candy pic was an unexpectedly nice touch. Got a giggle out of me when I opened the lid.

Aero Orange Bar: Holy crap! This thing is freaking awesome! My favorite of what I've tried so far. In the US you can find Chocolate Oranges at Christmas time... they're one of my all time favorite candies. This tastes like that, but creamier and much lighter. Unf!

Randoms: So soft and flavorful. I think in the US candy makers tend to go for sweet, while in the UK it seems they try to go for bursts of flavor. Soooo good!

Nougat: Umm... this one was interesting. The consistency is kind of like a mix between marshmallow and taffy. There isn't a whole lot of flavor to it either. Maybe this one is an acquired taste?
