NeoGAF DECEMBER 2016 Pick-Up Post! Show Us Your Gaming Goods + MORE (REAL PICS ONLY)!

We didn't give/get gifts and instead do trips as a family. Likely going to either China or Eastern Europe (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania then St. Petersburg) etc. I'm pushing for Japan, I would have loved to see Turkey... But well that's really not a good idea. Regardless I like to go somewhere where I feel culturally distinct so I can learn to appreciate or at least understand a different perspective relatively. Still discussing places. Takes a few years but the experiences are the best and well, we generally get the things we want for ourselves after doing research. We don't impulse buy often. That being said we do sometimes give gifts we know nobody would buy for themselves so I was given a Samsung Frontier 3 Smartwatch. I ended up returning it and putting it into my future PC upgrades and VR fund though. Brother kept his Apple Watch. That's pretty much it.

First thing I did was install Planescape Torment and Starcraft II.

Lithuania is beautiful!

Lithuania is beautiful!

So I've heard. In the U.S there's always so few people you can talk to that have any experience in those countries as they are always overlooked. I also would like to see reykjavik and go to Iceland. I mean there's very few places I wouldn't want to go but yea it's a once in 4+ years kind of thing. Maybe some day if I make I think big I can get my family traveling before my parents are limited mobility wise. They're only in their 50's right now though so travel is perfect.

Finally upgraded my keyboard! Went from this old and busted Microsoft keyboard that's probably a decade and a half old:

To this new hotness:

It's not the fanciest mechanical keyboard out there, but it sure is neat as hell. Didn't cost an arm and a leg, either. Also there's no software, all the RGB control is done hardware-side. It doesn't use the MX Cherry Blue switches, but some sort of knockoff of them, but they seem pretty solid. Nice tactile feedback, with maximum clicky, which is what I wanted.
