What kind of league is this/lineups/etc?

Its a regular yahoo public league. Online draft with peeps I dont even know

1 QB
3 WR'S
2 RB'S
1 TE
K
DEF
Thats why Im undefeated.

Im been winning using
Brady
welker
jennings
either moss or meachem
FJax
Bradshaw
Graham
Sebass
D been changing it up. Used DET,TENN,and now Oak

But my keeper $$ league im 4-3. We have 3 doubleheaders during the season and no playoffs

Ah ok. I'd think there a better WR out on the market than Meachem, he's too risky. See what's out there.

Im using Meachem because of matchup. Im thinking Brees is gonna pass for at least 350 against the Colts so everyone might have a field day

Damian Williams is available, should I grab him?
Depends on your WRs, but he's an intriguing add. Tennessee doesn't view Nate Washington as a true #1, and Williams got alot of touches and is definitely more explosive.

Suddenly from what I'm reading the trade between Good As Gould and Bail Kings (NeoGAF) is looking like a steal for rinker.
I said as much earlier. Deals an RB who may not play again this season and a QB bust for clear upgrades at both positions.

If you look at the Top 4 teams and examine their holes... Good as Gould has no holes. Seriously, where are rinker's holes? Tight End? bleh.

And to think my offer was turned down. Of course no one knew Best would be out potentially 3 weeks to the rest of the season
(I thought he'd miss 2 games as a precaution)
.

Multiple concussions in a season are always a red flag that screams "get away quick". Even if Best comes back for Week 10 (probably the best case scenario) he's one concussion away from being shut down for the rest of the year. Hardly the kind of player you want to have your fantasy life depend on.

The worst thing about it is the contact... it's not like Best was trucked and he didn't immediately have concussion-symptoms until much later. When that happens that screams buildup from other concussions... I mean right now he still is sensitive to bright lights. It's scary, but this guy's career may be in jeopardy.

And despite all of that he's not the Lions RB with the most serious health scare this week.

lol well Lions are on the record today saying he's definitely playing this year and maybe even this week. So I'm not inclined to listen to every piece of wild speculation.

Starting DHB, Fitz. Maclin, Manningham, D.Moore on bye weeks.

Torain, Starks, and D.Murray starting at RB.
Kendall Hunter on a bye week.

Keeping Gostkowski, even though he's on his bye week. I want to hold on to Moore to see how Palmer uses him in the coming weeks. Seems like all the good players have been taken.

Might lose this week's matchup. :(

hmm. Another league. Lloyd and Starks for Denarius and AJ. Tempting.
man AJ is a beast and Denarius Moore is definitely relevant again with Palmer. Brandon Lloyd should get the damn ball but will St. Louis' O-Line protect him? And you know Starks, he's in a timeshare and seemingly never gets TD's in that offense with Kuhn/Grant/WRs there.

I like how you excluded Finley because he's getting ignored by Aaron the Touchdown Fairy as well.

I like the trade, too. AJ is gold. Starks is meh. The other two guys cancel each other out as crapshoot wildcards given their new scenarios... although Lloyd has the slight advantage given the absence of otherwise good receiver talent. Unless you're criminally undermanned at running back it's probably a good deal. Especially if other startable RBs are on the wire - Maurice Morris could easily match Starks the rest of the way. So could a Kendall Hunter, Montario Hardesty or DeMarco Murray.

My RBs are solid. Losing Starks hurts my bench, but that's it. Moore scares the hell out of me. Started strong but literally has done nothing lately. Since my bench WR is...sigh...Mike Williams (TB)...that would leave me with two possible dud receivers. AJ is great, but when will he play next? And for how long? My starting WRs are AJ Green (yay!) and Steve Johnson (very up and down lately...)

This is also a keeper league. AJ and Moore are unkeepable. Starks and Lloyd are. (Although, Lloyd is the only one I'd even consider keeping.)

Edit: Uber, starting RBs in this league are gold coins. They go in waivers, every time. Managed to get DeMarco on my bench but that's a time-limited insurance policy. It's not much different than NQ3. The best available are all lower-tier backups.

Trades in this league are like pulling out teeth. I wish I could trade someone who is going to be out the rest of the season so easily.

The Frankman said:
... has Dinner Out made a trade with another team outside of Peyton's Creaky neck yet?
This is only Trade #2... hardly seems like a case of corruption or anything. Just your standard deal of trading your backup QB after the bye having no intention of ever starting him over your main guy. Dinner Out's going to have a need for Painter in Week 11 when Brees is out and had an extra defense kicking around.

The Frankman said:
Did Rooks quit? Not only is his team not adjusted, he still has Kyle Orton rostered. Plus he didn't adjust his team last week.
I noted this last week. We need to start sending out search parties... AFTER Week 8. He's probably dead. Good thing Cloudy collected money in advance.

When you're kicking the heels of last place in a league you need to invest pretty much everything in wild cards and high upside guys and take a hit on everyone else... which means you need to be on the losing side of every trade you propose according to Yahoo.

In your case, you should have more leverage with trades going forward as you start racking up wins over the next few weeks... this has been the easiest league to get trades done that I've ever been a part of. Although to be fair, you've been a big reason as to why that is the case due to stockpiling most of the top free agents.

corruption? who said corruption? Are you always so paranoid?

I will say I do like how he had time to drop a player, complete a trade with Cloudy, and still leave my 4-day old trade offer unresolved. That's dedication.

Actually for me I don't necessarily need high upside guys. I have been losing because well when your 1st and 2nd draft picks are hurt for multiple weeks it's hard to win. Facing people with bye week issues have been my only chance. But once my team is healthy I should have a decent team. And I none of my top waiver wire picks have done anything....yet. Hopefully they will this week with Tebow and Torain. And picking up Scott is only going to help me for one game instead of the 3 I was hoping for.

Hear hear. A toast to all our busted up, injured guys and a speedy recovery to all!

I will adjust Rooks' team to maintain competitive balance. Sorry I missed it last week but I was tied up in the morning

Edit: lmao @ the corruption charge. Instead of dropping painter, I solve my def issues moving forward and he replaces McCabb. Seemed like a sensible deal for both sides lol

... what's wrong with him?

BTW I'm going to make a co-commish so we avoid stuff like Rooks' empty roster spots last week. I am going to pick Moogle if no one (including him lol) has any objections

I'm on board with this choice.

Thankfully, having Ringer in the lineup instead of SJax didn't impact the end Week 6 result any. Sinistar would have won either way.

I dunno... let me check with the judge on this:
