Won in my league. Shady is a Beast, but also got a bit lucky with Mike Wallace.

Too bad I had benched Mendenhall this week looking at his injury and the matchup. Fucker is impossible to predict.

Will definitely start him next week though against AZ.

Actually won in No Quitters. Still a possibility to have the 1st waiver wire pick.
Sinistar should definitely pull out the win with the Jets defense.
Should we be sending search parties out for Rooks? He clearly didn't set his lineup this week.

OMG Barber vultures Forte's TD. Ugh
I'm pretty sure your lead will hold.

My auction league team, which had been 0-5 despite being 4th in the league in scoring (12 teams), finally won tonight. Strangely, it was on one of my lowest scoring weeks of the season.

3-0 in GAF leagues this week. Feels good, man.

I have some really bad luck in the economy league. No way my team should be 2-4.
Ditto.

Ironically I usually have greats starts, terrible middles, and ok endings to my seasons. I'm in the terrible middle stretch after a .500 start, not good.

I sold out to put myself in position to topple FPL this week.
Of course, he barely shows up and now I fully expect to lose to Ku Klux Klams next week as a result.

The big winner this week has to be Bail Kings given that he hit the RB injury lottery with both Hillis and Jones going down.
He now owns 4 starting running backs, his own handcuff for Foster and can stop playing terrible Pierre Thomas at flex.
(Well, okay... he lost his matchup to Romo so he can't be too much of a winner but at least he's got trade capital now.)

That means I'm listening to offers lol

(Why the hell did I have to lose to Romo Wittenhispants despite playing Romo and Witten? sob)

Oh! This turn of events fills my bye week roster and I get to use Demarco against Frankman!

2 money leagues I went 1-1. My WR's in the lost combine total of 3 pts( Moss and Cruz) while my other league ( non PPR ) I smahing my opponent by 90.

The public yahoo league im still undefeated. But next week I lose FJax and Welker/Brady

It would appear that I have the new #1 receiver for the St. Louis Rams.
I suppose things could have worked out worse than that. Still had my fingers crossed that Lloyd would find his way to the Bills, though. Ah well...

This is what happens when you don't check your fantasy team until Sunday at 12:00 pm....

Rinker, accept or decline my trade :p
I want to guess what you're offering him.
Rinker certainly could use some help next week.

He's got Kolb as his QB, he's down to Thomas Jones at RB, he has Plaxico Burress and POSSIBLY Evans at WR... and despite all of that he could be 5-1 with a big game from Plax tonight. Amazing!

Wow, I wish I was his opponent in Week 7. The indestructible Romo Wittenhispants will be 5-2. And this despite losing Hillis and drafting Peyton Manning in Rounds 2 & 3. To think we all mocked him on draft day. Tsk tsk tsk.

The NeoGAF Daily News has confirmed that The Big Blue Crew 3 will indeed put Cowboys RB Felix Jones on the trading block.

"It's just real frustrating to deal with right now," said owner The Frankman. The asking price for Jones isn't known at this time, but it's obviously believed to be for another RB. Out 2-4 weeks with a high ankle sprain, Jones could be a valuable Fantasy add for the stretch run for teams that can wait out his injury time. - Oct 17, 5:47 PM

Really amazing that three of the top eight RBs in the league are guys I thought would be pretty irrelevant this year: Fred Jackson, Beanie Wells, and Ryan Mathews.

I suck at picking RBs!

Why would Fred be irrelevant? That dude was an excellent runner last year and can catch out of the backfield. At the worst he was projected as an RB2.

Your league gives the bonus points, I see. But bonuses to D/ST on 3 and Outs?

I like scoring for 3 and outs - I would even like to see points for false starts and holding calls too.

I'm content to get slaughtered next week - probably wouldn't make any moves just to negate my byes.

Playing against you next week. The case of the byes happened to me last week. I think I barely broke 40 points.

He had an amazing 3 game stretch in the middle of the season, but aside from that he was the definition of a 6-8 ppg RB for most of last year, with 8 games under 50 total yards. He had 7 total TDs on the year, plus he just hit 30. Guess he doesn't have nearly the wear and tear of most 30 year old RBs though.

Anyway, at 30 years old, Fred Jackson is blowing away everything else he's ever done in his career.

After this weekend, the top 5 in the Economy League will be:

Locker2SB, 4-2, 656.17 points
Puddles of Win, 4-2, 606.15 points
Long Island Broskis, 4-2, 590.42 points
TheSexyRexs, 4-2, 588.44 points
Good as Gould, 4-2, 528.72 points

Crazy that there are five 4-2 teams, but no one is 5-1 or 6-0.

Yet I have scored 568 and am 2-4. Points against is 614. Sigh.

In a 16 team college buddies league, my team has scored 645 points, and is 1-5 with nearly 750 points against. There's a 5-1 team that's scored 510 points, with about 400 points against.

Shit is just ridiculous sometimes.

Should hopefully even itself out at some point. I was in a similar position back in Week 5 due to a nasty opening schedule. After Klux this week, I draw all of the No Quitters 3 bottom feeders and should coast for a bit with the exception of a post-bye week clash against Hookers and Blow in Week 12.

Granted, injuries and shrewd free agent pickups can turn a bottom feeder into a shark in no time at all. I think TD's N' Beer is about to go on a nice little run as his team gets healthy. This is the first week in a long while where minx88 won't have first priority on the waiver wire.

Looks like I have the 2nd pick. I don't even think there are really any great pickups this week anyways.

Anyone who managed to draft a team of

Cam Newton
Steve Smith (CAR)
A.J. Green
Fred Jackson
Ryan Mathews
Beanie Wells
Jimmy Graham

would probably be winning their league right now.

No sure things but there are a lot of guys to take flyers on. Plus, a number of teams need to plug bye week/injury holes. A lot of times it's worth picking up someone your opponent might need or the person immediately behind you might crave even if they don't serve an immediate purpose on your own team.

For those of you who missed the news in the weekly NFL thread, This is Tampa! finally managed to win a game in the NeoGAF cat.gif league:

An impressive feat considering Blount is out injured. Kregg Lumpkin should have been picked up.

I'm currently tied for 1st place in my very first year of FF. Some awesome guidance from you guys gave me the needed tools to conduct a relatively decent draft.

However, I have a question. I had some bums on the bench that weren't worth too much and I spotted Tebow floating around with no owner. I scooped him up, so I'm running with three QB's right now (I know that's not normal). But before possibly dropping Sanchez or Ben (most likely Sanchez), I want to see wut Tebow can do. The loss of Lloyd kinda makes me worry a bit more but do you guys think that...

a. it was a somewhat smart move to get him since nobody else did
b. should I at least see what he does this week before dropping him?
c. i almost want to take a gamble and start him.... def a high rish/high reward thing but sometimes it pays off.

You had to take Tebow. If Tebow plays like he has, he's the waiver pick of the year. Hell, in that crappy game last week he still had 16 points. Tebow is basically the same as Cam in that he's his own #1 option in the red zone - he could have a crappy 150 yard game and get you 10+ points rushing.

An average stat line: 200yds, 1TD, 2 INT, 50yds, 1 RuTD: 19 points.

I would seriously consider starting him this week:

a. He's playing the lolphins (See: last night's game)
b. Miami has accidentally made this game "Florida Gators night", so it's a Tebow home game
c. Demaryius Thomas and Eddie Royal are finally back in the lineup.

I think Roethlisberger is a safer start this week (see: Cardinals secondary, throwing long bombs to Wallace should be easy) but Tebow has basically the best intro game he could possibly get.
