Bush is playing Da Bears. But I really don't think you can go wrong either way. It's a gossip in my opinion. But that may be misguided because i'm a Bears fan.

So I'm playing a guy this week who hasn't changed his team all season, has Kenny Britt, Darren McFadden and Knowshon Moreno all in and injured, and he put up 17 total points last week.

He has 84 points against me already. Fantasy football is a fucking joke. I might as well get together with my friends every Sunday and flip coins for a few hours for all the supposed skill there is to it.

Konex, if you're worried about the integrity of the league, you should alter my NQ team so that I didn't start LDT. Woodhead or McCluster, take your pick.

Whatever, guys. Even though it costs me a loss this week (and probably a playoff spot), I know I made the right decision :p

ps: Some of those guys (LT at least) were announced out right at kickoff and it's too late to make changes there...

Love being in a return yardage league. Percy Harvin got me 35 points.
Harvin never should've looked back. He actually missed a TD three times in a 4 minute period. My league doesn't do return yardage...

EDIT: BTW who's that in your avatar? It might be my migraine making me hallucinate but the person looks familiar.

I might just get into the playoffs from 1-7 in my 16 team university league. Unless Hakeem Nicks scores 23 points tomorrow, my team will be 5-7, 9th in the league, but 4th in scoring. I'll have the tiebreaker over all the 6-6 teams. I'll just need one of them to lose in week 13 to get in, assuming I win that week too.

After tonight's game Ubertag I fully expect an updated playoff picture along with your analysis that I think most people enjoy quite a bit.

The (probably) last night I get to see this wonderful sight...

I can say one thing with complete certainty right now. A lot of people had better hope the Giants offense can get on track tonight or my high-scoring team falls to 6-6, robs a ton of playoff hopefuls of tiebreaker possibilities and makes it more likely that I'll square off against one of the top seeds in Week 14.

That's bad news for everyone but the bottom tier of teams currently in playoff position (it's very good news for those 7-5 guys).

I need EIB to somehow lose to keep my slim hopes alive. This is insane lol

edit: Hmm, if H&B somehow drops this game cos the Saints D and I take him out next week, I probably get in due to the tiebreaker. Go Giants! lol

Just so everyone has time to review, I've set Rooks' and Sinistar's teams for wk 13 to the best lineups (by projection/discretion). I'll look at it again before Thursday but I don't think it'll change much.

I think this is especially important with potentially 3-4 playoff spots coming down to the last day (depending on how it ends tonight)

McFadden back to light workout: Raiders RB Darren McFadden (sprained foot) is out of his walking boot and did some light work with a team trainer Monday. He has missed the past four games. Coach Hue Jackson said he still has no timetable for McFadden’s return. But, Jackson said it’s “huge” that McFadden is out of his protective boot and was able to work with a trainer on the field Monday, even if he was limited to walking. “I think that’s a step in the right direction," Jackson said.
(Updated 11/28/2011)

Fuck you, McFadden. Fuck you, you fucking fairy. Sprained foot too much for you with your team fighting for home-field? Four weeks in a walking boot for a fucking sprain? Get fucked by a pineapple, McFadden.

After being 2-6, the playoffs were just a dream. Like I would actually win out and go 7-6. Well I'll be sitting at 6-6 now and with a win next week against one if the top teams, I will be in the playoffs. Even if I lose I think there is still a chance? Anyways Good as Gould... Worst of luck to you next week. Also going to the Bears game on Sunday!

I feel the same way about Run DMC right now. Although I'm not sure if I've contemplated him being fucked by a pineapple. That's a little much.

All will be forgiven if he's back by Week 14.

McFadden got me where I am today. Thank you McFadden. I will be drafting your backup again next year (Bush will be a starter for another team, and hell I'll prolly draft him too.

Smart money is that being Taiwan Jones, although I think Marcel Reece has performed better when given the chance.

Can't believe I threaded the needle tonight with the Saints D/ST getting the exact max total of 5 points I could afford them to. Watch a late scoring adjustment snatch this win away from me now.

NO QUITTERS 3 WEEK 13 PLAYOFF SCENARIOS

CLINCHED

FirstPlaceLoser (FPL owns all tiebreakers and will clinch 1st overall with a win against Big Blue Crew 3)
Dinner Out
Good As Gould
Long Island Broskis (no team is closing a 100+ point differential in one week - let alone multiple teams; could finish as low as 6th or as high as 2nd depending on next week's results)

ESSENTIALLY CLINCHED

Hookers And Blow - Thanks to Ember Island Players and PrimeTime getting matched up in Week 13, Hookers is virtually assured a playoff spot despite losing two straight (and Fred Jackson). The only scenario where he doesn't get in is if both TD's 'N Beer and Romo Wittenhispants win and Peyton's Creaky Neck blows him out of the water by over 58.6 points.

ELIMINATED

Rooks
Ku Klux Klams
Sinistar

PRETTY MUCH ELIMINATED

Puddles of Below Avg - Took himself out of the equation with a loss this week to Frankman; in order to make the playoff cut now he would need Bail Kings, TD's 'N Beer, Romo Wittenhispants and Peyton's Creaky Neck to ALL lose and he would need to make up a point differential of at least 85.1 on minx88.

The Big Blue Crew 3 - Despite two straight wins, Frankman's in virtually the same situation as Puddles. Only difference is that his point differential is a mere 65.7 on minx88.

STILL IN THE FIGHT

That leaves 6 teams fighting it out for 3 remaining playoff spots...

Ember Island Players vs. PrimeTime is essentially a "win and you're in" early playoff contest. PrimeTime isn't winning any tiebreakers at 7-6 and Ember Island leaves himself exposed to the 4 other playoff contending teams with a loss although he owns the tiebreaker against all of them. Both of these teams have won three straight matchups.

PrimeTime - Would miss the playoffs with a loss to Ember Island Players and any two of the following teams winning their matchups (TD's 'N Beer, Romo Wittenhispants, Peyton's Creaky Neck).

Ember Island Players - Would miss the playoffs with a loss to PrimeTime and any two of the following teams winning their matchups (TD's 'N Beer, Romo Wittenhispants, Peyton's Creaky Neck). He could also be caught by defending champ Bail Kings (only 11.7 points behind) - Crazymoogle has a vested interest in PrimeTime winning next week as only Ember Island offers him tiebreaker possibilities.

In both cases, if only ONE or FEWER of those three teams win their Week 13 matchups BOTH PrimeTime and Ember Island Players would make the playoff cut. If Good As Gould and/or Hookers And Blow are concerned about the red hot TD's 'N Beer making the playoffs (especially Gould who faces minx88's powerhouse team next week), they'd better step up their respective games.

The chances are quite good of two of those three teams winning their matchups next week in large part due to the fact that Romo Wittenhispants gets matched up against Ku Klux Klams - losers of 5 straight contests.

Romo Wittenhispants - Has the easiest Week 13 matchup but by no means a slam dunk... the Klams did log over 110 points in Week 12 and have been largely victimized by merciless scheduling (most points against in the league). If he wins, he's likely in - if not, he'll likely only hold tiebreaker leverage on Peyton's Creaky Neck.

TD's 'N Beer - The hottest team in the league squares off against one of the front-runners in what will be Week 13's premiere fantasy showdown. With a 5th consecutive win, minx88 is virtually assured of a playoff spot and a possible do-or-die rematch with Good As Gould in Week 14. This is the very definition of the team no one wants to face in the playoffs - I know I sure don't.

If Good As Gould is able to break the streak, things become a little more dire for this team as they still lose tiebreakers to both Ember Island Players and Bail Kings. Plus, tiebreaker scenarios won't even come into play should both Romo Wittenhispants and Peyton's Creaky Neck win their matchups.

Peyton's Creaky Neck - The Commish is in a virtual freefall due to his over-reliance on the struggling Chargers offense. His playoff scenario is pretty simple, though. If he wins against Hookers And Blow, he's in the playoffs if either Romo Wittenhispants or TD's 'N Beer lose their matchups. If he loses, he's done. Simple as that.

Bail Kings - The defending champs need a lot of help after that tough defeat to TD's 'N Beer this past weekend. His "points for" advantage does extend his lifeline one more week, however.

First off, a PrimeTime win would help remove one obstacle from the equation provided that Bail Kings is able to close the aforementioned 11.7 point deficit on Ember Island Players. That would give Bail Kings two spots to fight for instead of just one.

If only one spot is available, he needs TD's 'N Beer, Romo Wittenhispants and Peyton's Creaky Neck to ALL lose in order to make it into the playoffs with a win against last place Sinistar. If two spots are available due to Ember Island being exposed, he can still make the playoffs if one of those three teams win - provided that TD's 'N Beer don't rack up a ton of points in their loss.

Bear in mind that some of these playoff scenarios could change should late Week 12 scoring adjustments impact the end result of this past weekend's matchups.

Nice write up, Ubertag. Man, Rivers really screwed me this season. I finally get a decent run game and my QB plays like crap. :(

I didn't mention it but you could theoretically also make the playoffs in a scenario where you, TD's 'N Beer and Romo Wittenhispants all win this weekend provided you're able to make up a 39.3 point differential on Romo.

It's not likely but it's a possible outcome.

The real dilemma for you is that San Diego visits the Jaguars this week and they've been a Top 10 fantasy defense against quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers... even your kicker. They've only been a nice fantasy opponent for tight ends and defenses... the two San Diego positions you DON'T have. Losing to Sinistar this week effectively sank your ship.

Half my team wasn't on a bye, my team is just bad. My team is like the Tebow of fantasy football. Ugly wins week in and week out.
A win is a win regardless of how ugly it may be.
And don't discount your team. Your Week 12 win was totally legit with a top score against what was the league's best team.

Many fantasy leagues have been won by teams who lucked into easy schedules or who got hot at the right time during the fantasy playoffs. It's the owner that fails to adapt because they stubbornly assumed the best players during Weeks 1-13 would remain the best players in Weeks 14-16 that deserve the fate they get.

Case in point. I actually had Mike Wallace on my bench at one point this week despite the fact that he was easily the top-ranked receiver on my team. I should have listened to my instincts on that one instead of deferring to rankings because benching him would have been the right call. That decision almost cost me a win.

I'm stuck on what defense to start next week.
Dallas and NYJ
Whenever you have a quality defense facing a team quarterbacked by Rex Grossman, you don't have a tough decision to make.

Conflicted on who to start at WR, RB, and flex.

My RBs are Marshawn Lynch, Chris Johnson, Darren McFadden, Michael Bush, and Ryan Mathews. Only have room to start two, plus one potentially at flex. Obviously not going to start Run DMC if he's not playing, but I'm still hesitant to start Bush because the Dolphins have a good run defense.

WRs are Mike Wallace, Roddy White, Andre Johnson, and Laurent Robinson. I have AJ on the bench because I don't trust Yates, but I feel like any of the other three are solid starts. Assuming Romo keeps targeting Robinson, anyway.

I would think a RB would be more valuable at the flex, but I'm still undecided. Any thoughts, GAF?

Obviously you start Chris Johnson due to matchup. Lynch and Bush have basically been the best two RBs over the last 3-4 weeks so I would start them both as well. Mathews could be okay, but...the Chargers are just such a bust right now.

Laurent is a lock unless Miles Austin plays. And if he does Laurent might still get a TD. Roddy White has been heating up lately so he would be my other start.

Appreciate the advice. I've been unsure about CJ, but last week was definitely a burst of life.

The only way you can look at it right now is that CJ is a start in matchups with bad rush defenses. He's not having the greatest year, but he can obviously still run. His o-line is doing him no favors though, so he needs those weak defenses to get by.

Buffalo is one of those weak defenses.

Amusing observation of the week... minx88 has won EIGHT consecutive fantasy matchups between No Quitters 3 and the NeoGAF Economy League. He effectively ran the table in November.

While rinker will be attempting to take him down in NQ3 this week, I get to lock swords with him in a do-or-die matchup in the Economy league where a loss will effectively end the season for either team. Real shame for me there, too... I'm 3rd in total points in that league and on the verge of being eliminated.

Yeah after being 2-6 in both leagues I thought I was done for. I was really unlucky in both leagues with injuries. Trades and having Bush in NQ has helped me a lot. In Econ having Bush helped as well as Fitz starting to put up the numbers I drafted him to get. Still not sure if I have a chance to make the playoffs in Econ. Don't care that much. I'm devoted to the NQ league and hope to make my mark this year. I have learned a lot this year as it is only my 2nd year playing FF, and first playing for $$$. Needless to say I really like it ever since winning in a for fun league last year with highschool buddies.
