My last pickup of the month and project for the next few months. A Sega Blast City. Its actually in pretty good condition, considering it was a Sega Bass Fishing then converted to a deer hunting light gun game. Not bad for $75 :D

That's a really nice arcade cabinet Solemn. I really wanted to get one myself but it's a huge wallet sink for me. ):

Aw hell yeah! I love the Highland Park 18, has such a complex taste to it. This has inspired me to post my recent single malt acquisitions as well! :D

Looks like a few of us got the new lens bug this week!

Man, this lens is pretty damn awesome. Works sweet in low-light and pics look gorgeous. Flash is really nice too, I hate flash normally but pointing it upwards and bouncing it makes the pics look great.

I would have included a pic of those outside the box, but I was using them at the time!

Also got this on Friday, almost two weeks before the official release date!

How do you like the nook?

Found a copy of Cross Edge at Best Buy on clearance for $20. When I was at Gamestop looking for Pinball Hall of Fame, I found a MINT condition GoW2: LE. Sadly, the codes for the DLC were all used. :(

Well, I actually really hated it when I tried it in the store, because it was so slow. However, the new firmware works wonders on this thing. It's really just a snappier experience than my old PRS-505. I'm planning to root it tomorrow, too, so I expect another speed boost resulting from that. Buying books is pretty easy, unless you're in a building where the AT&T signal is weak. Then it lags a little too much. Also, it syncs perfectly with calibre, so all of your old books that you may have had can still be read on it.

After a few months of unemployed absence, I'm employed and back in the swing of things.

New lens:

It's really great, but the material and the quality are so cheap, it's feels so wrong for such a sharp lens.

Old Soviet cameras:

Found these in Moscow, for such an insanly low price. But One of Zorki 4 (on the right) appears to be a false dull copy... Anyway, it's still looking awesome.

The Fed 2:

Built between 1965 and 1970, this one is a C version (with timer) and it's at least 40 years old. Fully fonctional, I just love how it sound and I can't wait to put a film inside to try it out.

The Zorki 4K:

This one appears to be a false reproduction and doesn't seems to be fully fonctional. But it's pretty awesome anyway.

The one on the right. She's still too young to come home but she's mine. I went and picked her out a couple weeks ago (she's the runt of the litter).

She's a Jack Russell Terrier Maltese mix. I have a two year old JRT purebred at home right now. He needed a friend so I got him one.

Here's another, bottom right:

My JRT's name is Max and I named the new puppy Samantha. Sam & Max. :D

Aren't there allergy treatments, too?

In my experience "non-allergenic" dogs and cats still cause me serious problems. I prefer to take as few medications as possible, so taking pills or getting shots just to have an animal isn't an option. I will just have to live without...
