NeoGAF Votes: Most Anticipated Game of 2016 (Voting has been over for weeks)

1. Fire Watch : coming from many Idle Thumbs vets has me very optimistic. I just love the tone of their podcast and can't wait to see it translated to game form.
2. Tacoma : from Fullbright Co. (Gone Home) has my Day One attention. Gone Home is one of my favorite releases in the past number of years and I'm curious how these masters of the Walking Simulator genre will fare in a space setting.
4. The Witness : looks like a modernized dive back into the worlds of Myst. Jonathan Blow is an interesting character and I'm curious to see how the virtual one-man show surfaces after years poured into The Witness.
5. No Man's Sky : is the title I'm most curious about. It's been on people's radar for so long now that I'm left wondering if it will meet the lofty expectations the "go anywhere, do anything" design docs have set in place. This seems to have the most potential to go off the rails as the ambition seem so lofty and the dev team so small. But as one who simply loves being virtual tourist in games, I can't wait to just fall into the world and explore at a leisurely pace.
6. Stellaris : Paradox has never done me wrong and playing CKII/EUIV in space sounds absolutely dreamy.
7. Torment (Tides of Numenera) : Planescape is likely my all-time favorite classic CRPG, so I'm real curious to see how Numenera fares. Dev team pedigree seems legit enough to get real excited.
8. XCOM 2 : Absolutely loved Enemy Unknown/Within. Can't wait to see how XC2 builds on the formula.

1. Persona 5:
It's been delayed twice now, but the next mainline sequel to my favorite RPG franchise ever remains my most anticipated game. Stylish and full of promise, Persona 5 has the makings of one of the best games of all time.
2. New Danganronpa V3: A New Semester for Everyone's Killing Life:
The next game in the only Battle Royale series in existence. Not much of Danganronpa V3 has been shown yet, but what has been said has me intrigued, and I'm always up for another story where a compelling cast of characters kill each other.
3. Ace Attorney 6:
The next game in the best visual novel series out there. So far, I'm skeptical about the return to spirituality concepts and a Kurain setting, but I haven't disliked an Ace Attorney series yet and they have stated they are aware of some of AA5's shortcomings and want to rectify them.
4. Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma:
It seemed that this wasn't gonna happen for a bit there, but it is and it's glorious. Zero Escape 3 is said to resemble 999 more in tone and aesthetic, which makes me anticipate it that much more because I preferred those elements in 999 compared to Virtue's Last Reward.
5. Shin Megami Tensei IV Final:
Atlus has said they want the sequel to SMT IV to be the best RPG on the 3DS, and if they improve SMT IV in every way, that might very well happen. I enjoyed SMT IV (despite having not yet finished it due to the convoluted Neutral route), and I'm looking forward to playing more.
6. Mirror's Edge Catalyst:
The first Mirror's Edge was a fantastic, albeit short, first-person action/platformer game. It seems that those behind the new Mirror's Edge know what made the last one great, and I hope that it delivers.

1) The Legend of Zelda Wii U: Speaks for itself. Longtime Zelda fan but I have been concerned for the series recently due to a lack of "change". Nintendo seems to be addressing that with this installment though
2) Dragon Quest VII: Very big DQ fan and I have been waiting to play this 3DS remake since it was announced back in 2012
3) Fire Emblem Fates: I felt Awakening brought some fresh ideas to the plate despite having some glaring flaws. Fates seems to bring more to the table on top of a very interesting narrative spread across three different campaigns
4) King of Fighters XIV: Just recently got into KOF when I picked up XIII awhile back, but I love everything about it. While the visuals for XIV seem subpar at best, the gameplay is unmistakably KOF. Also, 50 fighters day 1 is nothing to shrug at
5) Dragon Quest VIII (3DS): Similar reasons as VII. I actually never made it too far in the original PS2 release, but this is a golden oppertunity for me to get back into it
6) Genei Ibun Roku (Sharp)FE: I actually really like what was shown off at the treehouse demo last E3 with this game. Only played a few games from Atlus but I'm a moderate fan of the Fire Emblem series, so this one has me excited (and don't let the idol presentation turn you off right away)
7) Star Fox Zero: Love the Star Fox series and I'm glad Nintendo knows there are fans like me out there still. I don't mind the simplistic art style as long as the gameplay is rock solid
8) Star Ocean 5: Never picked up a Star Ocean game before, but the demos for this one blew me away by the battle system alone. Hopefully the Star Ocean 2 PS4 port makes its way West as I've heard that's the best one in the series
9) Setsune: I'm a sucker for active time battle systems, so I'm excited to see the people over at Square crafting a throwback yet updated take on it. Plus, the art work and music for this game has been nothing short of phenomenal
10) Gravity Rush 2: Honestly, I did not even know this series existed until TGS this year. Never the less, I was deeply intrigued by the demo shown off during Sony's conference. Can't wait for this and will be picking up the remaster of the first game coming to PS4
Also, I would have put DQ XI at #1 if we had a western confirmation, although we still probably wouldn't see it until 2017 anyhow. Persona 5 would be my #11 pick, considering that while I'm looking forward to it, Sharp FE looks more interesting to me in just about every way

This might have been answered already but does a game count if it has been released in Japan this year but won't come to the west until 2016?

I'll repeat my explanations for my top three that I gave to them last year. Because I'm lazy lol.
1. No Man's Sky - I believe in No Man's Sky so much right now. It tells you a lot it's my most antcipated game over the next game from one of my favourite studios, of which development is being led by the two folk (Druckley) who made my favourite game ever (The Last of Us).
I like that - besides the main goal of trying to reach the centre of the universe - what you do in it is ambigous. It's completely up to you how to play the game. Just explore, do quests, etc. It's not dissimilar to Minecraft when you think about it. And this is coming from someone who, as much as I respect what Mojang has done, just can't get on with Minecraft.
But the fact it's sci-fi helps. And that I'm also a fan of Joe Danger.
Won't go into a long story, but the broad scope and scale of what Hello Games is attempting to do for such a small studio is impressive. And if they pull this off and do it well, god knows what we're going to end up playing (hopefully) sometime next June.
2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Two Uncharted alumni and the co-leads for one of the finest games of all time return for what seems like the series' grand farewell (or at least, Naughty Dog's farewell to the series). Couldn't ask for more than that.
Druckmann and Straley have proven their chops together on The Last of Us and now it's time to see how that transfers into Uncharted. That said, they form half of perhaps the core team of one of the finest action games ever in UC2 (the other half being Amy Hennig and Richard Lemarchand) so there's a bit more to add to the hype train.
And with whats been shown over the past-year, showing open-ended gameplay, a new improved AI system which seems to have taken its cues from TLOU, a darker story but seemingly still maintaining the humour of the series and more, this seems a no-brainer.
TL;DR - NAUGHTY DOG. DRUCKLEY. BOOM.
3. Persona 5 - Persona 4 got me into the series hard when it released in Europe in 2009 on PlayStation 2, sinking 20 hours in (got stuck at Kanji). I've sunk more than half of that into P4: Golden on Vita at 40 hours (stuck again at Naoto). Plus, what has been shown this past year makes it looks slick as fuck in the best possible way/
Again, no brainer. Can't wait for this one.
4. Horizon: Zero Dawn - Besides Killzone 2, which was a fantastic game, and a fondness for Killzone 1, even if I was aware of its downfalls, Killzone was in a great stale downward rut after 3. I was ready for Guerrilla to do something new after 3, but we got Killzone: Shadow Fall. Which was...boring (most pretty-looking boring game, but).
But Horizon is just something else entirely. It feels so fresh, vivid and excellent from what we've seen of it so far. And it is so outside Guerrilla's established comfort zone. To go from a sci-fi first-person shooter to a futurestic stone age of sorts with FUCKING TECHNOSAURS, ridiculous as that sounds, sounds like the best idea ever. I really do hope it comes out next year. I am more than ready to play this.
5. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst - I never thought the day would come where we would finally get a new Mirror's Edge game. After so many will they/won't they moments since the first game came out in 2008, Catalyst coming out gives me there's still a future for the series. Plus, no guns, exploring seems a lot more free-form if not necessarily open-world AFAIK. From whats been shown so far, DICE seems like its learned from the mistakes of the first game, which can only be a good thing. Plus, no guns. Even better.

6. Gravity Rush 2 - Been waiting for this one for such a long time since its TGS announce in 2013 and then the subsequent blowout this year at TGS. The fact it's getting out there to a much bigger install audience on PS4 than Vita will do nothing but help it in the biggest possible way. Also massively looking forward to playing Gravity Rush Remastered in February as a result.
7. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - More Deus Ex from Eidos Montreal after Human Revolution. Not a bad thing.
8. Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem - Never played a Fire Emblem or SMT game, but it has a sense of Tales from the Borderlands around it. Not so much they're comparable - far from it - but the fact that anyone who isn't a fan of the series (or in this case, both series') can get into this without knowing stuff beforehand and enjoy it. And I really, really love what I've seen of it so far. So yeah, can't wait to see more of it. Hoping the western wait isn't too long. Early next summer? Please?

10. Dishonored II - Not played a great deal of it on Xbox 360 besides the first few hours, but played a lot more of it recently pre-Fallout 4 on Xbox One and enjoyed it a ton. Must go back and finish it on Xbox One. Plus, the lead being Emily this time (along with Corvo) is music to my ears. Can't wait to see how this pans out.
Special mentions: Mass Effect: Andromeda, The Last Guardian, Detroit - All games that'd be in my top ten, but either without dates (Detroit) or have current 2016 dates that I suspect will be changed to 2017 (ME, TLG).
Honourable mentions: Dark Souls III, Final Fantasy XV, Cuphead, Street Fighter V, Dreams, World of Final Fantasy, Project Setsuna, Unravel, Star Fox Zero, Hitman, Overwatch.

1. Persona 5: 4 is one of my favorite games ever, and I've been itching for a new entry for over a console generation. I can't say if the cast will capture me as much as 4's, but every other aspect of the game looks to be improved from Persona/SMT.
2. Final Fantasy XV: The release for this is finally starting to feel real. We've been waiting for this for a decade, even if it's no longer the game people thought it would be with Versus XIII. Even if this turns out to not be that great, I'm pretty excited to see this finally drop.
3. Zelda Wii U: I skipped Skyward. I still kind of want to play it, but mandatory Wiimote controls have prevented me from doing so. So I've been waiting for a new Zelda since Twilight Princess, basically, since I don't own any handhelds.
4. Torment: Tides of Numanera: I never finished the first game. I want to, but it's a little tough going back in technology that far. But I'm looking forward to the (spiritual?) sequel to what's commonly considered the best story in a video game.
5. Street Fighter V: I'm looking forward to leaving IV behind. It was decent game, but for me this is looking to be better in just about every way.
6. The Last Guardian: I can't wait to explore ruins with my giant griffoncatdog.
7: Ni-Oh: Samurai Souls/Gaiden? I want Yakuza Ishin, but this will do nicely.
8. Dark Souls 3: I'm kind of feeling fatigue with these games. Even though Bloodborne is a very high quality game, the thought of replaying it/playing the expansion seems exhausting. But I still love these games, and I'm hoping this is a good send off before this series goes on hiatus/they quit it.
9. Mass Effect: Andromeda: Bioware as been kind of in a slump. Mass Effect 3 ending, they tried doing right by DA fans with Inquisition, but went too far with the bloat. I think they want to do better, and I'm hoping they get back into our good graces with this game.
10: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided: Human Revolution was great. I expect this will be great, too.
I have to say if Cyberpunk ended up being confirmed for 2016 like that rumor said, it would be 1-10 on my list. Nothing else matters to me when compared to that game. But I'm thinking it's a 2017 game.

1. Overwatch: Something something why aren't I in the beta? But seriously, this feels like the first eSport game I feel like I could stick with. Plus I've got all my mates on the hype train.
2. Ratchet & Clank: I've always been a massive r&c fan, but my little brother is probably an even bigger fan. It's due out around his birthday so I'm hoping there's a nice special edition I can buy for him, and then we can play through the game together.
3. Uncharted 4: First it's a new ND game. Then you tell me it's the final uncharted game. Then you show me the gameplay and I discover they've made massive strides in the level/encounter design. What's not to be excited for?
4. Dishonored 2: I've just replayed the first with the definitive edition and remembered all the reasons I fell in love with it, but I also noticed where it hasn't aged well. Plus the first game has set up what could be quite an emotional story between Emily and Corvo, and I'm excited to see how they manage being able to play either. I'm hoping for same story from different sides, and your actions effect both sides.
5. Firewatch: I'm a sucker for narrative-driven text-adventure/point-and-click games. They've gotten pretty flash over the past few years but this feels like a new step in improving their gameplay. Plus walkie-talkies. Plus sassiness. Plus it's set in a beautiful forest. Plus thriller vibes (we brits love a good crime-drama).
6. Hellblade: I don't play many hack and slash games. It's not that I don't enjoy some of them, I really enjoyed GoW and the Darksiders series, but I'll admit to being terrible at them. Instead I tend to watch a friend's playthrough. But I'm so excited about the concept of Hellblade I think I'll make an exception. The monsters are invaders that are twisted into horrible beasts by her psychosis? I'm sold.
7. Scalebound: You get a pet dragon! That you can command! And customise! And have a random bromance with! And it's made by platinum!
8. Yooka-Laylee: The first game I ever backed on kickstarter, and now I need my 3D platformer fix. With awesome characters and adult humour too if you don't mind.

10. Batman Telltale Game: When I first played the walking dead I loved it, but then I tapered off and couldn't make my way to the end of season one. Maybe it's because I already knew how it ended, but I think it's more likely I got bored of the gameplay. They have the potential here to spice things up with detective aspects and more challenging combat (maybe almost turn-based?).
If NNK2 is out next year it will sky-rocket up this list, like Drippy up a drainpipe. Horizon: Zero Dawn was almost on here too, but I'm trying to be reserved about it. We haven't seen too much yet and I don't want to expect too much and be disappointed.
2. Ratchet & Clank: I've always been a massive r&c fan, but my little brother is probably an even bigger fan. It's due out around his birthday so I'm hoping there's a nice special edition I can buy for him, and then we can play through the game together.
3. Uncharted 4: First it's a new ND game. Then you tell me it's the final uncharted game. Then you show me the gameplay and I discover they've made massive strides in the level/encounter design. What's not to be excited for?
4. Dishonored 2: I've just replayed the first with the definitive edition and remembered all the reasons I fell in love with it, but I also noticed where it hasn't aged well. Plus the first game has set up what could be quite an emotional story between Emily and Corvo, and I'm excited to see how they manage being able to play either. I'm hoping for same story from different sides, and your actions effect both sides.
5. Firewatch: I'm a sucker for narrative-driven text-adventure/point-and-click games. They've gotten pretty flash over the past few years but this feels like a new step in improving their gameplay. Plus walkie-talkies. Plus sassiness. Plus it's set in a beautiful forest. Plus thriller vibes (we brits love a good crime-drama).
6. Hellblade: I don't play many hack and slash games. It's not that I don't enjoy some of them, I really enjoyed GoW and the Darksiders series, but I'll admit to being terrible at them. Instead I tend to watch a friend's playthrough. But I'm so excited about the concept of Hellblade I think I'll make an exception. The monsters are invaders that are twisted into horrible beasts by her psychosis? I'm sold.
7. Scalebound: You get a pet dragon! That you can command! And customise! And have a random bromance with! And it's made by platinum!
8. Yooka-Laylee: The first game I ever backed on kickstarter, and now I need my 3D platformer fix. With awesome characters and adult humour too if you don't mind.

1. The Legend of Zelda U : Zelda has always been my favorite series, and nothing gets me more excited than a new game in this franchise, for better or worse. Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword all left me feeling varying degrees of disappointment, but my confidence was restored by the masterful A Link Between Worlds. We haven't seen much of Zelda U, but what we have seen has been jaw-dropping - it has the perfect art-style for the fantasy setting that Zelda has. I'm also very curious to see what sort of ideas Nintendo can bring to open-world game design, an area of the industry that has been very stale for years. (Nintendo, Wii U)
2. Hitman : I am a huge fan of the Hitman series; in particular, Blood Money is probably my favorite stealth game ever. After a misstep with their last game, the new Hitman looks to be a welcome return to form. The episodic release structure is a non-issue for me as long as the missions themselves are great, and boast the sort of replayability that I've come to expect from a Hitman game. 3. The Last Guardian : When The Last Guardian was announced, I was fresh out of college and full of energy. Now? I'm bald, my beard is about 20% gray, and just last week I pulled a muscle getting out of bed. My point? It's time. It's time. (SCE Japan Studio, PS4)
4. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided : I arrived a bit late to the Human Revolution party, but once I got there I was immediately hooked, as it appealed to me on so many different levels. It's one of my favorite games of the last-generation. With Mankind Divided, they are saying all of the right things about being able to complete the entire game using stealth -- even boss fights, the one area where the previous game came up short. For a sequel to that, there's not much else I would have asked for. (Eidos Montreal, PS4)
5. The Witness : When I first saw The Witness at the PS4 announcement show back in 2013, I knew right away that it was exactly the game I've always wanted since exploring the island of Myst 20 years ago. I'm ready to experience something like that all over again, and this looks like the game to do it. (Thekla, Inc., PS4)
6. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Naughty Dog is on a nice run right now, with three straight excellent games. And coming on the heels of their best game yet, Sony's premier studio returns to their flagship brand for their first PS4 game. What's not to be excited about? (Naughty Dog, PS4)
7. Cuphead : This game sold me at E3 within five seconds, on its art-style alone. In the middle of a rather dull Microsoft press conference filled with many of the same franchises that keep getting trotted out each year, Cuphead easily stood out and grabbed my attention. It's the best-looking game I've ever seen. (Studio MDHR, XBO)
8. Firewatch : Unlike Cuphead, this one came to my attention later that day during Sony's press conference. But like #7 on my list, it didn't take long before I was sold on it. Firewatch has an amazing art-style, a criminally-underused setting and an intriguing mystery to unravel. And it's coming from the guys who helmed 2012's Game of the Year, The Walking Dead, so I feel pretty confident in saying that it's going to be amazing. (Campo Santo, PS4)
9. Dark Souls III : Bloodborne was my first "Souls" game, and I liked it so much that it's currently my Game of the Year pick. So that's why I'm looking forward to Dark Souls III. It'd be higher on the list if the first two Dark Souls games weren't also on the "to do" list for 2016... (From Software, PS4)
10. Mirror's Edge Catalyst : The #10 spot was pretty much a toss-up between this and Quantum Break. And while I'm a big Remedy fan, I'm just a hair more hyped for a new Mirror's Edge at the moment. While it was not without its issues, the original game was one of the most mechanically and visually unique games of the 360-era. It deserved a second chance, and at long last, here it is. (DICE, PS4)
Very tough to limit it to just 10; there are at least 10 more 2016 games that I'm very excited for. Quantum Break, Star Fox, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and others...
1. Persona 5: Persona 4 is one of the greatest games I have ever played. I went into the game not knowing what to expect, needless to say I was hooked immediately. It has it's flaws sure, the dungeons could be better and the story drags on a bit in some places, but it's a masterpiece nevertheless.From what we've seen, Persona 5 seems to remedy most of these problems.
2. Legend of Zelda: U: I was somehow disappointed with the twilight princess and skyward sword. I felt that the zelda formula started to become sorta predictable. My favorites in the series are WW and MM because they dared to try something different. The art style in Zelda U looks very beautiful and unique and they seem to be trying something different with the open world Design.
3. Danganronpa V3: seems to be more of the same, and that's exactly what i want!!
4. The Last Guardian: I have been waiting for this game for a very long time and seeing how I loved SOTC and ICO, I'm really excited about this.
5. Zero Time Dilemma : same reason why I'm looking forward to Danganronpa V3.

1. Uncharted 4: Naughty Dog's track record is pretty damn solid, but it's not easy concluding a beloved franchise. Naughty Dog ended up delaying the game to 2016 for the purpose of delivering a satisfying finale. Let's hope they succeed. After The Last of Us, expectations are sky high.
2. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided: Human Revolution was one of the biggest and best surprises of the last gen. Not only was it a fantastic game, it stands toe to toe with the original Deus Ex. I can't wait to see what the team at Eidos Montreal do with it.
3. Horizon: Zero Dawn: Everything they've shown of this game looks fantastic. I do have my doubts that this will actually hit 2016 but I'll keep it in my list regardless. It just looks that good.
4. Persona 5: This would probably be higher but I'm still feeling the sting of Atlus constantly misleading people about their 2015 release date. Still, the Persona franchise is the current king of the JRPG scene in my eyes so I can't help but be excited for the next installment.

And THAT is the only reason why I've been willing to wait so long for this game. Because Shadow of the Colossus was just that damn good. I would have given up on any other developer a long time ago.
6. World of Final Fantasy: Why does this look so much more interesting than FFXV? Maybe it's the cute art style. Maybe it's the classic gameplay. Maybe because I don't have to wait a decade for Square to actually finish the game. Regardless, it looks like a gem, and I think Square should make more of these mid-tier RPGs.
7. Ni Oh: Not quite Onimusha, but I'll take it.
8. Dark Souls III: Miyazaki is back on board for this one so I'm pretty confident we're going to get another fantastic experience. Though I am feeling a bit of Souls fatigue with this one and that's the only reason it's not higher on the list.

Welcome to the dankest Most Anticipated Games of 2016 list on GAF. First I'd like to start by both thanking the gaming industry for the hard work put into making 2015 an awesome year and telling Konami to fuck itself once more.
WARNING: Judging by how my 2015 list turned out, approximately 50%+ of the list will most likely end up either delayed to 2017 or slightly to massively disappointing (you'll know what I'm talking about).
Now onto the list.
1. Dark Souls 3: Yep. How original. But regardless of how much I fawn over the Souls series, Miyazaki truly is a master of level design, and his return as sent my hype over the top by default. The combination of DS1's design, DS2's Co-Op and PvP features, Bloodborne's atmosphere, and the return of the #SunBros might make this the best in a legendary series.
2. Uncharted 4: It's Naughty Dog. It's the Last of Us team. If it isn't buggy at release then by default it will be a contender for game of the generation. I don't even think I need to say anymore just watch the E3 Gameplay.
3. Mass Effect Andromeda: Mass Effect was my favorite new series last gen so I'm very excited for the first outing this gen. Hopefully Bioware distances itself from the Reapers as much as possible and crafts a new unique story in a world that isn't anywhere near as repetitive as Dragon Age Inquisition. Oh and the ME3 multiplayer was the best horde mode I ever played. Bring that back.
4. The Legend of Zelda Wii U: There probably won't be another game next year as divisive as this but that's typical Zelda. Admittedly, I'm as nervous as I am excited for the open world. It very well may be the next MGSV but A Link Between Worlds was honestly amazing and one of my favorite handheld games of all time so it's probably in good hands.
5. Deus Ex Mankind Divided: Why aren't we getting more Sci-fi RPG's this gen? Everybody's trying to be Skyrim too hard. Human Revolution was the only game in recent memory to 100% sell me from a single trailer. The sequel looks to expand on choices and get rid of everyone's biggest complaint: The Shitty Boss Battles.
6. Horizon Zero Dawn: WHAAAAAAT?! A NEW IP?! Damn right son. Horizon has been the worst kept secret this gen but the first gameplay looked quite good. Horizon looks to take inspiration from both The Last of Us and Monster Hunter (and Brave) and bring everything together in a beautifully designed world.
7. Final Fantasy XV: Do I actually think it will live up to initial expectations? HAHAHAHA. But I am very much anticipating this game finally releasing and seeing how the gaming community reacts to it. If it succeeds, we get the return of Final Fantasy. If not, well at least there's Kingdom Hearts 3 at some point.
8. Recore: A NEW IP!!!!! Metroid Prime is easily my favorite game of all time and seeing some of the key people behind it in charge of this game automatically places it on my list. The only reason why it isn't higher is...well we don't really know much at all about it and have seen no gameplay. But MS insists on a Spring (Fall) 2016 Release so we should see it soon. Hopefully it'll have a great atmosphere at least.
9. Halo Wars 2: Halo hasn't been in the best position recently. From the MCC Fiasco to Halo 5's divisive campaign and god tier but lacking in content arena mode, the franchise is a bit shaken. So what should 343 do to counter this? HALO WARS 2 BREH!! The original was one of the best console RTS games out there and since it's coming to PC, RTS fans and Halo fans have very few excuses not to pick this up. Hopefully it'll expand on the universe in a meaningful way and deliver exciting battles like the original. Oh and more multiplayer.
10. Gears 4: The disappointing E3 showing made me almost leave this off the list but I'm a big fan of Gears. The series has easily the best gameplay out of any Third Person Shooter that isn't called Vanquish (yo can we get a sequel to this too?) and with key people from the original trilogy like Rod Ferguson on board, hopefully it'll turn out to be something great despite this poor initial showing. On the bright side, at least we're seeing a return to the series' dark atmosphere.

5. Deus Ex Mankind Divided: Why aren't we getting more Sci-fi RPG's this gen? Everybody's trying to be Skyrim too hard. Human Revolution was the only game in recent memory to 100% sell me from a single trailer. The sequel looks to expand on choices and get rid of everyone's biggest complaint: The Shitty Boss Battles.
6. Horizon Zero Dawn: WHAAAAAAT?! A NEW IP?! Damn right son. Horizon has been the worst kept secret this gen but the first gameplay looked quite good. Horizon looks to take inspiration from both The Last of Us and Monster Hunter (and Brave) and bring everything together in a beautifully designed world.
7. Final Fantasy XV: Do I actually think it will live up to initial expectations? HAHAHAHA. But I am very much anticipating this game finally releasing and seeing how the gaming community reacts to it. If it succeeds, we get the return of Final Fantasy. If not, well at least there's Kingdom Hearts 3 at some point.
8. Recore: A NEW IP!!!!! Metroid Prime is easily my favorite game of all time and seeing some of the key people behind it in charge of this game automatically places it on my list. The only reason why it isn't higher is...well we don't really know much at all about it and have seen no gameplay. But MS insists on a Spring (Fall) 2016 Release so we should see it soon. Hopefully it'll have a great atmosphere at least.
9. Halo Wars 2: Halo hasn't been in the best position recently. From the MCC Fiasco to Halo 5's divisive campaign and god tier but lacking in content arena mode, the franchise is a bit shaken. So what should 343 do to counter this? HALO WARS 2 BREH!! The original was one of the best console RTS games out there and since it's coming to PC, RTS fans and Halo fans have very few excuses not to pick this up. Hopefully it'll expand on the universe in a meaningful way and deliver exciting battles like the original. Oh and more multiplayer.
10. Gears 4: The disappointing E3 showing made me almost leave this off the list but I'm a big fan of Gears. The series has easily the best gameplay out of any Third Person Shooter that isn't called Vanquish (yo can we get a sequel to this too?) and with key people from the original trilogy like Rod Ferguson on board, hopefully it'll turn out to be something great despite this poor initial showing. On the bright side, at least we're seeing a return to the series' dark atmosphere.
Reality: 3, 6, and 9 will all get delayed to 2017. 8 will be short and not at all like Metroid Prime, 10 will be lacking in content. and 7 will be the disaster we expect it to be. 4 will be the next MGSV

4. Ni-Oh - From it's initial showing at TGS i fell in love with this game. A mixture of Bloodborne and Onimusha, all in glorious 60fps. This game can't come quickly enough!

1. Uncharted 4 - Really excited to explore the final chapter in Nathan Drake's tale. Very intersted in how it will all unfold.
2. Horizon: Zero Dawn - I've been skeptical about new IP's recently, so it's strange for me to put this so high up. But it is Gorilla, and I think now that they've been allowed to go away from the Killzone series, they will seriously show that they are not a one trick pony. 3. Scalebound - Japanese style games have struggled as exclusives on MS platforms, but I have confidence that Scalebound will break that trend.
4. Rise of the Tom Raider (PS4 version) - Will probably be a GOTY edition or at least polished up with all appropriate paches and updates needed, resulting in an actual "finished" game. Not saying the X1 version isn't worthy, but I think it'll play better when released on the Playstation.
5. Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS) - handheld Final Fantasy goodness!!
6. Mass Effect Andromeda - Still in the dark about the game, but I've alwasy been a Mass Effect fan, and Bioware usually puts out good work.
7. Star Ocean - Integrity and Faithlessness - It'll be fun to see the Star Ocean franchise take it's turn on the current gen platforms, and early indications and footage seems very promising!!

1. Persona 5: Persona is one of my favorite franchise of all time with P4:G being my favorite game period, I've been waiting for this for so long now but I'm ready. P Studio will deliver the best RPG of the year in 2016.

Oh boy, are we in for a great year. I am very excited about things to come in 2016.
1) Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : I was really torn between Uncharted and Persona for my number 1 spot, but I gotta go with this. I just love this series and what it brings to the gaming medium as whole. Its so well done, the attention to details, the incredible acting, set pieces, graphics and more importantly, the amount of fun it provides (on single and multiplayer). I can't wait for more No, No, No's from Nolan North.
2) Persona 5 : I am as excited for this as I am for Uncharted. It feels like forever since Persona 4 launched, and all these delays have been super annoying, but its finally coming, and I know it was for the best. I trust the Persona Team as much as I trust Naughty Dog, and I am sure they will deliver yet another great game.
3) Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant King : I absolutely loved the first NNK, even with its few faults like the repetitive combat. The Ghibli feel it had and the incredible characters it introduced completely captured me. That amazing over-world will be back in all its glory and I can feel it. Well, all that and yet another Joe Hisaishi masterpiece. <3
4) Mass Effect Andromeda : We really don't know much about it, but I am very excited to see where the series go without Shepard. Can't wait to see what new aspects Bioware will bring to the table.

Its sure has been through a lot in the last couple of years, but Ueda is a great developer and I adored ICO and SoTC, so I am very much looking forward to TLG.

9) Street Fighter 5 : As much as I suck at fighting games, I am always excited about them for some reason. lol Love the resurgence of some forgotten characters and the new gameplay options CAPCOM added to the game. I am ready to be destroying in the MP.

Yes its kind of too much on the boobs and tits things but its FUN. Hopefully Tecmo changes their minds and bring this game to the west, or else I will have to find a way to import it.
