Yes. It's very good and there's extra stages after you beat it.

The Twin Turbo has longer controllers, it's one of the black models, with green highlights. Shorter than NES, but longer than Fami. Think 'Sega' length.Anyone have any experience with the Twin Famicom? I'm trying to decide between that and the AV Famicom.
I know the TF has hardwired controllers but I've read that the 2nd model had longer cables. How long are we talking?
I've also seen that someone has made a mod to use the DB-15 port to use NES controllers. Do those actually register as 1 and 2 players?
You are correct, but his pattern is not too difficult to detect. One problem I had for a long time is that I thought the boomerang was the best weapon. Even Nintendo Power recommended it against Dracula. All except for Draculaunless there's something I don't know.form 1
Honestly if you want hassle free, AV Fami is the winner. Use any NES OR any Famicom controller, whatever cord length you like, no extra adapters required (I actually use an NES controller board inside a Famicom controller shell). Best build quality, solid as a rock. Easiest to install NESRGB, with no externally visible modification.
when or if?
I'm seriously considering the $500 Analogue NT when it ships and if the reviews are good.
I know it's stupid and crazy but it's an option.
Like... why? Just why? And I'm sure the "reviews" are going to be sites like The Verge and Kotaku, and they'll gush over the "design" and "Oh it's so much easier with HDMI." Nobody who actually knows what's up with the Fami / NES has the platform to produce that scale of review, so you're basically going to be overpaying for the Beats equivalent of an RGB'd NES. Except minus original hardware.
I mean, if you're into this stuff, spare yourself the ridicule you'll get flashing it around either to collectors in person or online. You can do it right without too much trouble right now, you know?

I grew up with the NES so it's my favorite system of all time. My front loader isn't reliable and I don't have room for a CRT monitor.
I have the Famicom version of the Everdrive N8 so my options are getting an AV Famicom and having it modded for RGB which would probably end up being about $300 total. The Analogue being the 2nd option which has more options and potentially better quality but $500.
I just don't know yet. If the Analogue was $300 it would be much easier to swallow. $500 is pretty ridiculous but if it turns out to be the best of the best, I would consider it. I'm also keeping my eye on the HDMI NES from bunnyboy at NintendoAge. It is due later this year and will supposedly use the original hardware and be much more affordable. The test images look delicious...

If you do an rgb AV famicom and an xrgb mini, you'll have a ton more options in the future though. Plus, since the Analogue isn't real Nintendo hardware, it might not run your Everdrive.
It's real Nintendo hardware on a custom board. PowerPak and Everdrive are confirmed working.
I'd rather hold off on HDMI NES. We'll see what happens.
I believe the point is that it's not a clone or a NES on a chip. It will necessarily run all NES/Famicom games and there's almost no chance that it won't.When does something stop becoming one thing and become another though? If someone has the heart and lungs of a donor, are they the donor or the receiver? Heck, even if a brain transplant occurred? These guys are harvesting parts and putting them in the shell of something else.
Plus, is there any confirmation of compatibility by someone other than the guy who wants to sell it? Has anyone even seen this thing running?

It's definitely not "real" hardware.
It uses the same cpu and ppu, but the board is definitely not real hardware.
Any ETA on blinking light win?
Arcade Works 4 days ago
Things are looking to be arriving at our doorstep during the last week of March. From there, we'll be shipping out units as quickly as possible until everyone is caught up. There will be a formal update on the shipping schedule as we get closer to the end of the month.
We are also booked as a vendor with a VIP room along with Windy Gaming at Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee on April 11,12. The Blinking Light Win will be on demo as well as have a handful units for sale.
Guh. Now I'm thinking about getting some FC games. Is a converter the most sensible way to go? I might even look at making one from a cannobalized NES cart. Seems like a cool project.

To be fair, it's much much closer to real hardware than all these horrible emulator boxes like Retrongs, or crappy Raspberry Pi emulation etc. It's definitely not "real" hardware.

Absolutely, but if the options were Analogue NT, Raspberry Pi and Retron, even at their price points, I would choose Analogue NT since the others are complete garbage.Sure, but it is also orders of magnitude more expensive than any emulator box.

With scanlines it might be fine. But yup.. I don't really want that kind of image at all.really don't like this much at all, to be honest
it's the kinda overly-sharp image i'd expect from emulator filters, which is fine & not to knock it but looking at it my brain just says there's so much going wrong here is all
Looks like The Game Boy Color version. Chunky solid too-rich colour.really don't like this much at all, to be honest

Oh wow I was always interested in Risa, one of the first ever dating sims I believe? Or is it an adventure?Finished with the third chapter of Risa no Yousei Densetsu. It's not bad but I think I definitely prefer Nakayama Miho no Tokimeki High School. Should be able to finish Risa this week when I get back from Dallas. I'll probably move on to Fuun Shorinken Ankoku Maoh afterwards.
Agreed. I know most of these machines have or will have image output options but I just don't like the look seen here.really don't like this much at all, to be honest

Luckily however there is a third option which is vastly superior to both and much cheaper than ANT - real Nintendo hardware + Evil Tim.

I have reservations about the NES RGB mod, let alone the Analogue NT. To me, NES RGB mod is bordering on emulation already in a way that N64 RGB mod doesn't.
Personally, I'll take an NES via composite with sharpness turned down to zero on my PVM any day over that sharp-ass upscale:

I could totally understand the RGB mod and am tempted to get it done myself. It's sort of like NES-perfected.
However, in contrast, I don't see why you wouldn't just emulate if you want the sharp picture at 1080p via HDMI that Analogue NT offers. It's like taking an NES and turning it into something it truly was never meant to do.
I love my NESRGB and is the reason why my Twin Famicom gets hardly any use. I can appreciate that people like the composite look, but you need to experience a rgb nes to really appreciate what tims board does. Its astonishing.
I wouldnt class it as emulation. It converts already grenerated data from the nes PPU into rgb.. and does an awesome job of it.
If anyone if interested to see what any nes games look like in RGB i have an everdrive so am more then happy to take some photos of any requested titles. Not too many mind. Dont wanna spam and clog this thread up with pics.

Bought a twin famicom today!
It was 5,400 at Hard Off.
Of course the Disc System doesn't work, but the belt replacement doesn't seem overly complicated, just time consuming so I bit the bullet.
Unfortunately no AC adapter. I watched a video of a guy saying a PSone adapter would work fine but you need an adapter for the adapter. Anyone have any recommendations?
I use a psone adapter for mine. Just chopped the end off and solder on correct size plug.
How so? This seems like an odd differentiation
