If there aren't any artifacts / heavy jailbars as a result of the mod process, then that is a VERY GOOD price. Consider that the PPU alone these days runs $150-$200.I found someone selling an RGB modded NES for $300 on another forum. I'm SO, SO tempted to buy it....After seeing all my other systems in RGB and some of Shining's/the other poster who made the custom fami/nes pictures of their RGB consoles, I just really want to have my nes look that crisp. That's damn near the price of a PS4 though...
Even if the universal PPU gets into production or Bunnyboy suceeds with his HDMI NES project, I doubt either option will get you a complete unit for much under $300.
On the flipside, you might end up feeling oogy if Hyperkin pulls off the Retron 5....
