Netflix is not fucking around.

http://www.theverge.com/2015/4/22/8466977/netflix-aziz-ansari-sitcom-ordered

Aziz Ansari is teaming up with some of the producers of Parks & Recreation for a new sitcom at Netflix. Deadline reports that the currently untitled show, which stars Ansari, has been given a 10-episode run. Eric Wareheim (the latter half of Tim & Eric), H. Jon Benjamin (who voices Archer), Lena Waithe (a Dear White People producer), Noël Wells (formerly of Saturday Night Live), and Kelvin Yu (who writes for Bob's Burgers) have also been cast. There's no formal description for the show just yet, but Deadline describes it as a semi-autobiographical comedy that "deals with dating and relationships," which sounds like an elaborate way of describing almost every sitcom.

Ansari has worked with Netflix in the past, with two standup specials currently exclusive to the service. This new show is being co-created with Alan Yang, a Parks & Rec executive producer. Both Ansari and Yang will serve as executive producers of the show, as will Parks & Rec co-creator Michael Schur and Parks & Rec executive producer David Miner. The show is said to have started filming in New York, but there's no word on when it's expected to be ready to air. Based on the people involved, it's probably something that comedy fans — or, at the very least, Parks & Rec fans — will want to look out for.

Whoa...
The complete Planet Earth series (UK version with Attenborough narration) just got added.
This is great! I was thinking of picking up the Blu Ray set, now I don't have to.

Don't know if it's recent, but I also see Nature's Great Events on there too. Another BBC nature doc series.

Highly recommend the last episode, it will blow your mind.

Yeah that looks interesting, so does "Life" which was also added today.

I love these wildlife docs, perfect thing to watch at the end of the day.

The first time I watched Planet Earth was also the first time I took LSD.

I think it is worth getting the Blu-ray set. I doubt even super HD would do it justice.

I guess that means Netflix has renewed their X-Files license or whatever, then? They took it off their service a few weeks ago but I guess it's back up now?

Finished Edge of Tomorrow. Pretty fun movie. The ending was kind of a cop out though.
I would have preferred there not to be a reset.
Did anyone else love that one army guy from Kentucky? My favorite character lol. This is one of those, don't-think-just-enjoy-the-ride type of movies.

Oh sweet, just started watching X-Files again this last few weeks. Hopefully the other seasons get updated soon, as we're nearly finished season 1. This also reminds me that I said I'd put together an episode list for someone and totally forgot... sorry!

Babadook is a seriously ate up movie. The filming was very good and I loved some of the scenes like the stairs with its shadow but that kid...loved the movie over all but definitely very, very strange.

im using hola to watch the lord of the rings but it seems to me that if you select english you are forced to use subtitles (port or span), none isn't an option. is there a simple way around this or is it just something you have to deal with?

Are you talking about Bill Paxton's character? He was hilarious.

Started Sons of Anarchy season 7. At first I was like, WTF, that can't be Marilyn Manson

but it is....doesn't really look like him at first, and he's a decent actor in this too.

Looking forward to this last ride.

Yeah he has a recurring part for the rest of the season. Shows up almost every episode for at least a scene, if I'm remembering right.

One of the better guest stars I think.

Watched The Princess Bride and its not what I expected from just knowing generic, female targeted title alone. Pretty damn good movie and I can see why it's considered a cult classic -- now I'm kinda wishing I read the book first.

Darn... I thought Person of Interest was supposed to be in may. Must have got my wires crossed on that.
