Goes up on Netflix next week, but since I live in Britain, I'm currently watching River, the new series from the BBC with Stellan Skarsgard and a whole cast of "that guy froms" (that woman from Spooks, that guy from Game of Thrones, etc).

The simplest "X meets Y" comparison would be The Killing meets The Sixth Sense (with a little bit of the best-forgotten Ricky Gervais comedy Ghost Town). Alternatively, imagine a version of Broadchurch as told entirely from the perspective of Alec Hardy, mix in a fair dash of psychological horror, and you're roughly on the same page.

It's pretty much entirely sold by Skarsgard, who has to do a lot of acting opposite empty rooms, and the direction, which lingers a lot to properly convey just how broken the titular character is. Nicola Walker as his dead partner is good as well.

I'm digging it so far. Having not seen The Fall I'm not going to say definitively "if you liked The Fall you'll like this" but I have a suspicion that fans of that new sort of crime drama will be well-served here.

I just watched a trailer for this and it does look interesting. I like Skarsgard and the show seems to have some good overall credits. I'll probably check it out.

BTW, I'm watching the Disney shorts thing. First up was John Henry. It was good, but I'm wondering about the actor who voiced John Henry. His name is Geoffrey Jones and when I look him up John Henry was his one and only credit. Anybody know who he was?

I don't get the appeal of House of Cards. I kinda like politics and it doesn't keep me interested in watching the rest of the show.

Like better than New in Town incredible? Better than What's New Pussycat incredible?
The last handful of jokes/anecdotes all culminating was my favorite part. I don't know if it's as good as What's New Pussycat, BUT I know that the way the last few things all meshed and segued was top-tier.
I really liked it, but still prefer New in Town tbh

It's a toss-up, I'll have to rewatch New in Town all the way, but the Clinton stuff in this was amazing

Just watched The Comeback Kid. Thought it was amusing, 4/5 stars. Nothing bust a gut worthy.

Might watch New in Town at some point.

I like his delivery. Very smooth.

Doesn't even come close to Brian Regan though. That guy has me weeping tears of laughter every time.

Anyone here uses Unblock-US? I've been getting slow streams since yesterday. I've refreshed my connection, switched the DNS from 23 to 22, switched regions but to no avail.

Anyone have experience with Getflix? I'm using Unblock US at the moment but there's a deal for 30 years of Getflix for $39 so I'm thinking of switching over.
Just want to know if it works similarly and that I can switch regions to different countries easily enough.

Yep, it works really well. Super easy to setup.

Enjoying Jessica Jones. It's not as good as Daredevil so far (4 episodes in), but really digging it.

I finished up Masters of None. Really great show. Aziz and the writers nailed what life is like for an adult. Especially the dating scene. The acting is wooden as fuck, but I think the show's humor/themes overcome it.

Oh man! Thanks for this. My subscription expires in 2045 lol.

Finished Reservoir Dogs and ... it was ok. I'm not entirely sure what I expected, and it's possible that seeing Django and IB first set different expectations for me. In retrospect it's entirely clear how inexpensively the film was made, how few sets it included.

I will also say that there was a point at the end where I just didn't believe a certain character acted consistently.

3/5 stars from me. Basically, I think Tarantino's recent stuff is better.

Netflix has been knocking it out of the park with original content this month.

No worries, it's an amazingly good deal!

Been enjoying Person of Interest lately, it's a shame they don't have season 4 yet, and how season 5 may be their last season.

Had not heard of John Mulaney before but really enjoyed Comeback Kid, then went back and watched New in Town. My kind of comedy!

I'm having trouble using the Netflix app on Windows 8. It keeps minimizing the page before it can finish loading. I had did a system restore recently and that set me back at Windows 8 and that was fine, but today my computer brought back to 8.1 and it's doing this now. When I google this I'm getting answers for that same thing happening when using the website and not the app. I tried restarting my pc, following those steps from the site that involved silverlight, and nothing.

Flypaper (Netherlands): I never heard of the movie, but the premise (two bank heists happening at the same bank) pulled me in.

This was a fun movie. It had me laughing the whole way through. The cast is incredible, but I have to say, Patrick Dempsey, is amazing in this. I really loved the characters of Peanut Butter and Jelly. Two lovable goofballs.

So how are you guys with a dynamic IP handling the Netflix region switcher services? Do you update it manually, is there an automated process or is there a service that accounts for it or something?
