Netflix |OT| Where Binge Watching is Encouraged

I never seen it. I know it takes place between the first two movies. It is also short (30ish mins). There are worse ways to spend half an hour.

I'm a fan of the movies, so I will watch it later tonight.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh... well... most people I know didn't enjoy it at all. However, it's a tough act to follow since Series 1 was so unexpectedly brilliant.

I'm a sucker for nice user interfaces, so I went with Blockless for my Netflix region thingy. The trial week was excellent.

Illness is the doctor to whom we pay most heed; to kindness, to knowledge, we make promise only; pain we obey.
Her (Sci-fi, Romantic) is up in Japan.

Weird, it's probably Japan's first major exclusive.

It's available in Canada later this month so. It's also a really great movie. Everybody should see it.

Oh cool, I was already planning on buying Her since I figured it wouldn't show up on streaming.

Buy it regardless. It's one of the greats. Can't recommend it enough.

A Very Murray Christmas is up.

I stayed up all night studying for the LSAT and got distracted by it. I really liked it, Bill Murray carries the entire thing, of course. Makes me wish he was in more stuff these days. Fun cameos, and it doesn't get tiring. I'd definitely like another Murray special, holiday or not.

Was watching warehouse 13 with the family awhile back and we return to finish season 2 and the only thing that's available now is season 3. When I watched the show the first time the first four seasons were available for streaming. Is it normal for shows to lose most seasons randomly? Amazon recently just lost all of the seasons on streaming too.

Got an app update that adds a widget for Netflix. No clue if this is new new or simply an update but it's pretty cool. The refresh button cycles between a few things.

There is a one hour special called Marco Polo: One Hundred Eyes coming Dec. 26th.

Also, a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon trailer hitting soon.

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol
Excited about Darkman being available now, but kinda bummed that the sequels aren't up. I'm part of the small minority who feels like Liam Neeson was horribly miscast in that role, and that Arnold Vosloo is a much better Darkman.

So I found the Riddick short wasn't a good way to add a really small point to the story. Don't recommend it.

I was never a fan of the sequels when I first saw them, but perhaps a revisit would be good. But Darkman was the second Raimi film I ever saw (first being Evil Dead 2), and I instantly fell in love with his manic style.

Started watching Real Rob while I work to make things less boring. It's actually not bad and the fact that his real life wife plays his wife makes it interesting. They have good chemistry and she's really cute. They also produce, write and direct.

I might have to rewatch Marco Polo S1 on the grounds that I don't really remember much of what happened (except lots of pretty cinematography).

Three episodes from the end of Jessica Jones, damn it's got good. Really pleased.

Is Atelier an actual co-production or did they just license it from Japan? Someone really needs to get on the jdorama train. Not enough stuff comes over.

So I need a new series to watch, any region, I've seen a lot of shows, pretty much all Netflix originals, most newer/popular series, likely a lot of older shows too. So I'm kinda looking for any suggestions for stuff I may not really be aware of or didn't see like maybe 10 years ago or more.

Obviously it's kinda vague but I'm open to pretty much anything or I'll give most things at least a shot.

Detectorists Season 1 (TV, Comedy)

This is one of my favourite series from the UK in the past few years. It's quiet, low key, mostly set in fields in the English countryside, and it's focused on two characters played by great British character actors. Its pace may be offputting to some folk, but if you can get wrapped up in the characters, it's really charming, often quite funny, and well done.

Some movies I have seen recently:

St. Vincent (Mexico): I liked Murray in this. The movie itself was good, but starts to fall part in the middle/towards the end.

Rambo II: First time watching it. Starts off slow, as it takes 30 minutes to get things going. Once it picks up, it is awesome. Great action and that patented Stallone acting.

Lifeforce (Mexico): Really, really weird movie. Starts off as a 2001 movie, turns to Aliens, turns into vampires, turns into Poltergeist, turns into zombies. All the while there is a naked woman running around. If I would have read that, I would think this is a great so-bad-its-good movie, but, sadly it isn't. It is boring. Although, it did have it's moments.

Her (Japan): I didn't love it, but didn't hate it either. The atmosphere of the movie was fantastic. As was the acting and how technology plays a huge roles in our lives. The movie is way too long.

A Case of You: Really loved this. What made the movie for me were the guests. Peter Dinklage and Sam Rockwell's scenes had me dying. Especially Dinklage. He should do more comedic roles. Vince Vaughn and Brendan Fraser were great too.

After Earth (Canada): Terrible. If you want to watch a movie where the son doesn't listen to his father for an hour and a half, this movie is for you. Plus, you get to see Jayden's worried face throughout the whole movie.

The action scenes were alright. The story was boring. The CGI was good. Also, the accents were bad.

My Netflix has been showing the wrong aspect ratio recently on Chrome. I believe it's showing 4:3 and I don't know what the problem is. On safari it's getting errors too

When is Season 2 coming? I enjoyed S1 despite the poor reviews. Has potential.

Also, does anyone know which version of Star Wars Episode IV is on netflix (Brasil, I think)?
