New Alienware QD-OLED Monitors, Laptop Updates | Dell at CES 2024

Just got the monitor delivered today! now time to sell the UW 1440p.

Happy Season 9 GIF by The Office

Just received the monitor not the upgrade I thought it's was going to be…my aw3423dw was more then enough….driving 4K at high framerate is hitting my 4090 hard…it's going back in its box and back to Alienware it goes

I was hoping this would result in the 45" LG OLED ultra wide getting an aggressive price drop, but no. Its at its $1699 price at the moment!

Its likely what will happen with me since I have gotten used to the PPI on the 45" ultrawide OLED 240hz

I know the 4k will be pretty just not sure I want to give up the screen space

Best Buy has open box buy excellent condition for $1340 which seems like a decent price

Bet they come down even more with the influx of new OLED ultrawides coming.

The 34 is to wide.
Rocking a 45 ultrawide atm, not sure I will be able to give up the space

Yeah I will wait for a 3840*1600 before upgrading

Still love my AW3423DW. I'll upgrade when they hit higher than 1440p and stay at 21:9... which is what I already have.

$1340 is absurd. I'll get it if it drops to a fire sale $800

hmm I think im gonna wait for the gigabyte or Asus model, no curve. I wish they made a 38' 4k ultra wide for work and play that would be perfect. i still gotta do a dual monitor setup.

Fucking weather delayed my delivery rip. Look out it's a couple inches of snow! I don't understand how Canada and even northern us can function with 4 feet of snow but two inches and fedex has to suspend operations for the day (it was loaded on local truck for delivery)

That would have been my choice coming from an Acer Predator X34 but I got the AW3423DWF back in summer so this monitor didn't feel like a huge upgrade. I thus refrained from purchasing it. I think it's really tough to go back to 16:9 once you've gotten used to ultrawide and I've been on ultrawide for 7 years now. Never going back to 16:9.

Waiting for a 32-38" 6880x2880 or 5120x2160 ultrawide OLED.

That really sucks. My son in Indianapolis ordered one and he says its still showing delivery today but on its travel history it shows its still sitting in Memphis so doubt his arrives today either

Have been messing with mine awhile and part of me loves it and part not so much.

I love the color pop of the QD OLED but in turn not a fan of the not pitch black black levels with this almost purple tint to it with any kind of light in the room

I LOVE the PPI of it being 4k and I think 32" I might get used to but really missing the ultrawide space of the LG 45" OLED ultrawide

It doesn't feel like an upgrade for me honestly.

The monitor is great, it's crazy how nice the screen is. Tested out a few games and my rig is still getting over 100 fps at 4K with everything set to max.

I also prefer the non uw size, only issue I run into was Dolby vision not turning off, had to downgrade my driver and that fixed the issue.

Most of the time I also use my 55" TV when I want to game on a bigger screen. It will definitely take some adjusting for you to go from 45" to 32".

I will most likely continue to go from my TV to the monitor depending on what game I am playing but the monitor being 4K will get me to game on it more than I did with my 1440p.

Yeah I often play mainly my single player games on the main TV

There are certain games I really love this 32" but when I jump into games like Hell Let Loose on PC I miss that ultrawide

Still really on the fence which monitor I want to keep on my main desk

Hmm pretty cool for those who want a 4k oled in a 32" factor - personally sticking with my alienware 34" UW QD-OLED - even as a RTX 4090 user I enjoy the UW aspect more and can hit around 130 fps average max pathtracing in cyberpunk at 3440x1440. I do have the legendary 42" LG C2 though that I dual purpose for ps5 and pc gaming if I want to go 4k.

Alienware makes good products though and probably the best in class when it comes to customer support these days.

360 at 1440p on the 4090 is a treat. All that headroom allows you to dial up the quality settings and regularly clock 360+ fps in COD.

I'm searching my ass off every day but there's still no way to buy the 32" Alienware from a store, online or offline, here in Norway. Sucks. Has it reached Europe yet btw?

So still waiting for my audio extractor but a USB C to 3.5 mm jack allows audio from the monitors downstream port to work but for displayport only it seems

I thought this was an indulgent side-grade since I already own the Asus PG27AQN 360hz 1440p monitor, but SHEESH -- QD-OLED tech just blows it away. The color detail possible in the QD-OLEDs really is something to marvel at as highlights pop off the screen, but more critically, I can see more detail in effects and texture detail. Speedwise it's a total killer too.

I found someone to buy Asus for $550 so that took a lot of bite out of the upgrade, but I am floored by how much I appreciate the difference. Awesome!

This seems like fake outrage to me, he is just trying to get people to buy into his pateron for the "fix".

I used the monitor hard for the past 3 days for work and gaming, so far zero issues besides dolby vision getting stuck and that was a easy fix.

So a lot of people were buying the LG C2, what is a lot better with this new panel?

Well its a 240Hz QD OLED display, with the lg c2 you will be locked at 120 fps.

The LG C2 will offer a bigger screen size but the alienware qd oled monitors can offer higher fps above 120.

100%

This is the guy who was reviewing a monitor and complained about the coating on the screen and forgot to peel the protective film off

Plus calling this "unusable" is silly unless maybe you need something more professional

This to me show a level of retardation and non genuinity that makes me completely disregard the opinion of this "reviewer", these people simply spout BS for the sake of money, no integrity at all.

Still waiting for my 40" 3000R-Curve QDEL/NanoLED Touchscreen Monitor @ 5120x2160p with 9 Primaries, 12-Bit Panel, 960Hz, Autostereoscopy, G-Sync Premium/Pulsar for VRR+BFI & 500/5000-Nits @ 75%/10%

:messenger_grinning_smiling:

I agree with him the HDR highlights really pop

Sadly the lack of a 3.5 mm jack is this things demise to me, need too many toys hooked up to it (and I actually like the curve)
Remember I got the....

It gives me a additional full featured HDMI 2.1 port so two inputs/one eArc plus additional ports that I can hook additional devices into.

That would give a lot more flexibility

Changed out my old speakers in my office for AudioEngine A5+ with a sub and super love their sound
