I can't remember one really excellent US game character. Crash? Bubsy? Blinx? Death Jr.? Jax? Ratchet? Meh!

Just a question - are you limiting this to 'kiddie' characters or characters period? Because I can certainly think of a few that are very, very memorable, just admittedly none of them is of 'kiddie' kind.

Limiting just to kiddie. Think Warner Bros. Disney. Simpsons. Turtles. Futurama. It's not like the great kiddie character designers wouldn't exist in the US, they just are not working in gaming for some reason.

I must say that it never ceases to amaze me how crap US developers are in kiddie franchise and character creation. From a nation that gave world Disney, Warner Bros, Marvel, DC etc., the chararacter design in videogames is shameful. I can't remember one really excellent US game character. Crash? Bubsy? Blinx? Blinx is Japanese actually. :/
