New GAF Feature: Key Giveaways in Posts

I "accidentally" claimed the key for Silver Box Classics: Heroes of the Lance, Dragons of Flame, War of the Lance and Shadow Sorcerer from GreenAlien GreenAlien , just seeing if the functionality worked on mobile. So I'm re-giving it away here, but the thanks goes to GreenAlien!

if I quote this I can literally see all the codes btw.

also, it's helpful to clarify which region these codes are for, as american Steam or Playstation codes often can't be redeemed in other regions for example.

I actually thought of this when designing the feature, and accounted for it. When you submit a post with a KEY tag, the system will immediately (before even processing the post and committing it to the database) encode the giveaway so that the key can't be revealed this way. What you'll see when quoting will look like this

The code you're seeing here isn't the actual key code that the user entered, but the claim code the system uses to programmatically retrieve the key when it determines you've met the other criteria for redemption.

Is that the "code" you're seeing or an actual key?
 
Oh there's more coming lol these keys were just sitting here doing nothing waiting to expire, but I'll guess I'll stagger the next batch so more people have a chance of getting some things.

What would happen if someone just clicked on ALL? would it allow it? (not that many here would do that)

It's one of the reasons this feature got made. With the new system working as intended, bots won't be able to claim the keys, only logged in users.

I wanted to claim one, just to test the system (claiming it, seeing how it works, and then post it again to see how that works essentially), but at least on my tablet, using Opera, I don't seem to be able to claim any key that has been posted. I tap on it, and all that happens is the button blinks.

Well I tested and it seems to be there isn't a cooldown. Since I clicked on two and it worked

yes. tested it again, same Browser (Opera) but this time on my Phone...
both are Samsung devices, both use the same Browser... weird.
