Swim out into the sea and you'll run into one. You can do it as soon as you start the game on the beach.

And yes they're very scary

I remember the ones in Jack and Daxter... Those were awful, even though they weren't sharks.

Because people who love and play GTA can put whatever is in those screenshot, into the game and image all the awesome moments. Moments that few games can even come close to matching.

It depends what you were expecting.

For me GTA is the only open world crime game where care is taken to make sure the actual explorable world is great.

That and some of these things we did not know, Sharks etc of course that would make people excited.

Don't worry there are still plenty of terrible games coming out that focus on their poorly written stories.

We should not be booing a return to fun gameplay and missions that are more diverse than drive to point A and gun down 30 guys from cover.
