i was listening to a podcast today which discussed the hobbit at comic con, really interested to see if they show the new footage at 48fps there (can comic con do that?) and how it goes down. Im honestly worried given the cinemacon reactions a few months back D:
 
Needs DiCaprio somewhere in the background, maybe the running bubbles girl too.
In all seriousness I like it. Adventure can begin!
 
It doesn't exactly scream 'The Hobbit' at me. It could just as easily be a Lord of the Rings poster. Let's get some Smaug action up in there.
 
I still wonder how they are going to handle the beginning of this book. there's just sooo many of them
dwarves
it confused me in the book, I can only imagine how hectic it gets
 
Love it. Such an iconic, inviting image.

Anyone who has ever seen LOTR or seen promos/trailers/pics of it will instantly know the awesome is coming.
 
Cheesy as fuck that there's not a sign of an actual hobbit. Yeah, yeah, I see the Shire.
I also think I see a car chugging in the far background...
 
Give me Bilbo or give me death!

I continue to fucking hate that this movie won't be told solely from Bilbo's POV, and will include a ton of Gandalf's adventures. Damn you, Peter Jackson! Can't you do anything right?

Trailer seems to indicate that it will be hectic, but it looks like they've done a good job differentiating them, appearance-wise. It would have been confusing if they had just made 12 Gimli's.
 
I get it that people like Gandalf but unless there are a series of posters, I'd think Bilbo should, you know...be in the poster

It seems like he should be at the head of the dwarves party leaving the Shire, rather than just alone. Gives it a sense of the beginning of an epic journey like the first movie is supposed to be.
