It is in company of a representative of Nintendo Europe that we could once again put the hand on the second episode of the adventures of Samus on GameCube, planned for the end of November. Even if all the levels all and the weapons were not available, this version enabled us to discover some innovations which should you like.
Following the success of the first opus, one had to expect to see unloading on our GameCube a second episode of Metroid Prime. But to satisfy the requests of the players, Retro Studio had to re-examine several points of the play to be able to offer to the players a single experiment. The developers thus initially wanted to make the play deeper and more realistic. It is thus in a history much more complex than you will be immersed in this second episode. The planet on which your vessel landed is in prey with many creatures come from the world of the night. The original planet was indeed divided into two to leave place in the world of the light and the night, the energy which unified them having left again itself in these two worlds. You will have to thus cross the two worlds to be able to bring back the energy of the world of the night in that of the world of the light and to thus give again with this planet the gasoline of its beginnings.
Contrary to the first opus, Samus should not be alone any more on this planet. The developers indeed wanted to make the play a little more dynamic and scénaristiquement more complete. This search will be the occasion for our charming heroin to meet natives who will help it to inform themselves on the situation of their planet and what you will have to make to bring back peace. Small the most appreciable which gives a little life to the play.
Always also impressive
Even if graphics do not make a play, it would be regrettable not to underline the impressive visual quality of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Another innovation, Black Visor which makes it possible to visualize some target invisible with the naked eye. This sight has also the capacity for Samus to select several targets at the same time, with the manner of REZ, for then destroying them in only one blow.
You perhaps already wondered why this second episode is entitled Echoes. This small demonstration finally allowed us to discover what hides behind this name. We already could see in the old versions of the play the new sights available, and well will know that in more of those, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will propose the sight echo. As its name indicates it, this sight will disregard all that is visual and will be satisfied to return you the vibrations emitted by the sound of the enemies moving or the projectiles sent by your weapons. One could compare this sight with that represented in the Dardevil film. We unfortunately could not see under which conditions this sight will be used, but we imagine easily that it will be necessary to make call vis-a-vis with certain enemies of it.
Metroid Precedes 2: Echoes will thus play much with the influences of your acts in the world of the light and that of the night. Certain actions will indeed have an effect on the other world. A second episode which was not satisfied with qualities of its predecessor and which should thus make much noises as of its exit programmed for the end of November.
