Loving Love Never Felt So Good!
New song: Loving You.
New song: Loving You.
What an awful title.
"Xscape".

I meant to mention the other day how I haven't been a fan of the posthumous album titles. The majority of MJ's solo albums could all be used to describe him in some way
"He's Off the Wall"
"He's a Thriller"
"He's Bad"
"He's Dangerous"
"HIStory"
"He's Invincible"
I always thought that was unique and gave the albums a bit of extra weight. I guess you could say "Michael" did it too, but that one felt a bit lazy.

It's to go with Xperia, since they have a joint promotion or something.
NOW you understand just how cheesy the title![]()
New song: A Place With No Name. Yes, before you ask, it does borrow the melody from Michael's own "Leave Me Alone" as well as "A Horse With No Name" by America (with full permission).
No, like every other one of his albums, it's named after a song on it. The song "Xscape," produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, was recorded in 2000 for Michael's album Invincible, but was left off of it. It has been re-done by Jerkins for this album.

Heh, I see who its coming from but im the same way. I just feel like its underrated..coming from a guy with both the thriller and beat it jackets with real leather. Michael Jackson is my favorite musician, and its simply untouchable to me. Ive been listening and enjoying his music since I was 4 years old and im only 23. I love everything jackson 5, jacksons... ALL OF IT. Ive had plenty old heads ask me how do you know "X" song lolPrivacy and Cry come across as Michael going through the motions with the anti-media song and the Man In the Mirror style song.
Lost Children and You Are My Life are just too sappy for me.
Most of the Jerkins produced stuff has too many machine noises and sounds really dated. Michael's other albums managed to blend plenty of instruments and synthesizers and create a layered but natural organic sound.
This is coming from someone who's favorite musician is Jackson and thinks that 95% of his music is genius. Michael's talent never decline though. Those Invincible outtakes and the stuff on The Ultimate Collection was brilliant.

There are 8 songs in the album, why do you think they went with Xscape?
Except for "Michael". No idea why they didn't call the album "Behind the Mask" (they could have called it "Breaking news" but the timing would have been really bad)No, like every other one of his albums, it's named after a song on it. What about Off the Wall and Blood on the Dancefloor?Michael always chooses the one word title of a song as his albumtitle. Seeing as there's only Xscape and Chicago here as songtitles with only one word, Xscape isn't a very odd choice.

The Estate of Michael Jackson and Epic Records are very excited about the partnership with Sony Mobile announced this morning at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We are thrilled with the use of the new solo Michael Jackson recording, “Slave To The Rhythm,” which is featured in the 90 second online spot for the new Xperia Z2 phone. For those of you not lucky enough to be in the room for the premiere of the spot, look for it online!
Sony Will Use The Music Of Michael Jackson To Promote Xperia Z2
In Tech by Mark O'Beirne24 February, 2014 Email
Sony today announced a partnership with the Michael Jackson estate, which will see the music of Jackson being used as part of the promotional material for the Xperia Z2.
Jackson was hailed as one of the best artists in the world as part of Sony's presentation at Mobile World Congress, and as Sony is heralding the Xperia Z2 as one of the best devices for the aural experience, it makes sense for the company to partner with such a prestigious artist.
The music of Michael Jackson will be used in advertising, as can be seen from the 90-second short video that the company showed at its presentation and will release publicly shortly. More will be announced in the coming weeks as to how the partnership impacts customers who purchase an Xperia Z2.
Sony was keeping its cards relatively close to its chest at Mobile World Congress, but is very excited by this partnership.

This reads like a post from Bizarro world to me, but to each his own.I gotta admit, these aren't doing much for me.
I actually really enjoyed Michael.
This... not so much.

Do You Know Where Your Children Are is incredible.
Haven't heard the rest.
The leaks I've heard on Xscape sound cluttered, though.
all the released tracks sound overproduced to me. maybe they aren't, but I can't shake it, knowing that MJ didn't have any input feels weird. it's nowhere near as bad as 'michael', but still. vocally they are sublime, but that goes without saying.
also 8 tracks and some of them with already existing versions, either sony are being stingy or there's not much left.
I've listened to Love Never Felt So Good in all its iterations and the only one that really hits my bones is the one with TImberlake, though the one with him is better it just doesn't have the unf.I've really liked everything I've heard so far.
A Place With No Name didn't need all of that electronic stuff, but it's an interesting mix, to say the very least.
Love Never Felt So Good, Chicago, and Loving You are really nice.
Only problem I have with the JT version is that it feels a tad overproduced in spots. Still hella groovy though.I've listened to Love Never Felt So Good in all its iterations and the only one that really hits my bones is the one with TImberlake, though the one with him is better it just doesn't have the unf.
The demo is amazing, but it's a demo, and demos are just eh.
