Please let this be it! And before someone says "it's only 3DS only", Nintendo has done it plenty of times where they say one thing and still show other things.

2012-2013 still had crazy support for PS3 though. WiiU is finally completely dead since over a year games-wise and 3DS in a coma since after its last revision, excluding late localised niche RPGs. Apart from the Pokemon Go boost last month, 3DS sales in the west have also been almost as dead as WiiU since over a year. This might be the worst transition phase even by Nintendo standards.

Weirdly I think it's a bit possible that the Galaxy 3DS has something to do with that. But...they already started selling it. With no SMG branding. So it's probably unlikely.

Ok, show me significant first party support on the other consoles that is larger and then we'll agree.

Why are you expecting Nintendo to not just be a first party producer, but also be all the third parties as well? It's not logical to think like that.

I'm hoping so! I was saying elsewhere in the thread that I hope that will be an "available now" game for this Direct.

Realistic expectations:

- New Sun/Moon clip, starter evos and Rockruff evos revealed. Some new concept is shown.
- Info on Disney 2 and YW2
- Dates for Ever Oasis (january) and DQ8 (february)
- Localization announcements for: Dragon Ball Fusion, One Piece Grand Battle, Digimon Appli Monsters, DQMJ3 and Yokai Busters. Maybe that Culdcept game.
- Brand new first party game is revealed. My money is on Kirby or Wario but a followup to Link Between Words is viable too (it really is)

Let us complain, Nintendo has been shit towards us for what feels like forever.

Then why not buy a new console or upgrade your PC..? There are plenty of games out there that scratch that Nintendo itch. Colorful, fun, and inventive games like Grow Home capture the innovation and whimsy you expect from a Nintendo title. The depth and feel of adventure in games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne build on what was established in games like Zelda and Metroid. Then there's games like Axiom Verge straight up replicate class game design.

There are games out there for Nintendo fans, I don't know why some of you people don't just get other systems haha

The Directs happen worldwide at the same time, which means that you can't take all preferences of every subsidiary into consideration. Sometimes you just end up with announcements that slip through the Direct radar, especially when it's something like the Galaxy 3DS which apparently is exclusive to just one region.

Guys, they explicitly stated that there will be no NX reveal or discussion in the Direct, so probably no reveal of NX announcement date. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

I mean, I hope for this announcement myself, but it's better to go in with low expectations so if it does happen it'd be a happy surprise.
