Since when was Mario 8 a multiplatform game
I was responding to your Zelda post, wich is a nultiplaform game. 'Mario 8' is neither multiplaform or exclusive because Nintendo hasn't annouced any game with that name. Maybe you mean Mario Kart 8 but I doubt It since its pretty distinct from Zelda.

Zelda was exactly the same , a game built around the Wi U but quickly ported over to the Switch and the Nintedno mugs had to pay full price for the pleasure too

But again why does in-house matter?

If Nintendo shows a new Smash Bros., Astral Chain 2, a Fire Emblem Three House sequel and the new Mario Kart at the Switch 2 event, then that would counts as something to show.

The fact those games aren't 100% in-house is irrelevant.
Apparently Nintendo made the best games, thanks for confirming otherwise

So then you agree with me that people not directly employed by Nintendo can contribute to great games.
It's rather silly that come back that, but nice try. I love the Wonderboy series but I know full well they're werent' made by SEGA so even at a young age would know about good 1st pary games

And there's some people on here that still bitch about DMC on the 360 because it wasn't made In-House by Capcom Japan

How is it silly?

You were claiming that only Nintendo employees themselves could make the best games, and then you thanked me for confirming otherwise.

If you didn't change your mind, what were you thanking me for?

There's no rule that means in-house = good and not in-house = bad. Lots of people didn't like DmC but lots of people also didn't like RE6.

Take Square Enix for example. Nier Automata, Triangle Strategy, DQVIII, The World Ends With You, Octopath Traveller 2 etc. These are still Square Enix games even though they are not in house.

All I said Is the reason I loved Nintendo back in the SNES era was because of Their In House games , which nobody could touch them on, much like Konami. I did not like either for the games they outsourced.

I prefer ugly graphics over a walking cinematic simulator.

Meanwhile, PS3 graphics for open-world games

And you're entitled to that opinion. But when it comes to "what games did Nintendo show at the Switch Jan 2017 event?", the answer is defined by what first party games were present.

All the new games they had don't become "not much to show" just because of your personal preference in the SNES era.

And if it is your opinion that Nintendo makes the best games, why did you thank me for confirming otherwise?

Yeah that makes sense. Release it on both systems at the same time but make it cheaper on the switch. Every other platform holder should be held to this standard of charity I hope.
Exactly. I bought God of War Ragnarok and HFW for full price so I guess that makes me a Sony mug.

Anyone who knows me, will know my issue with Nintendo has always been with the number of In-House games they make, that goes way back to the N64 days and every new generation since people say it will be different and better and it never does

Nintendo made the best In-House console games in the SNES era and only Komani came close IMO, but those days are long gone. In the SNES era not only were Ninetdno incredibly productive they were also bringing out band new IP's and trying completely new stuff, those days are also long gone.

I rather the SONY or Xbox model where if you bought it for the old system you got a free next-gen upgrade patch, but we know how much Nintendo looks to milk its fans

Which is a completely fine opinion to have, everyone has their own views.

Its just not relevant to your original claim that the Switch launch didn't have much to show. You take out the 1 port and they had 8 first party games.

8 new first party games, all of which were released that year, is a lot to show. The fact that you personally were not interested in Donkey Kong, Metroid, Kirby, Star Fox etc. back in the SNES days doesn't change that.

And you still haven't explained what you were thanking me for.

You're still confusing ports and cross gen. The Sony/Nintendo/Xbox model for cross gen games is that they cost full price at launch.

In-House wise and that was my point. And people like you may credit Nintendo for F-Zero GX I look to credit SEGA for it in the same way I don't look to credit SEGA for Guardian Heroes but Treasure and that's fine

Not really when with Nintendo you'll get the exact same game on their own console. I like the Xbox and SONY way where you can buy the old version and it will work on your new console and look and run far better for free
Maybe Nintendo will do the same for Prime 4, but this is Nintendo...

5 in-house games is still a lot to show no? And you can credit multiple companies for a game. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

The games Nintendo has to show are the ones it funds and publishers, same with Sony and Microsoft. Out of curiosity, were there any events in the last 10 years where you thought a first party publisher had a lot to show. I'm trying to understand your baseline.

Beccause under your judging system, neither Sony nor Xbox has had anything to show in any year for over a decade. Is that how you feel? Beuase I don't think that is accurate.

You still need to buy the game. GoW: Ragnarok and HFW launched at full price on PS5 just like BOTW launched at full price on Switch.

Buying a new game for $60 doesn't make someone a mug.
