I always wanted to try this out, but never got a chance...

i agree. It didn't hurt that there was sparse trackside detail, because the SNES game was the same way. The tracks magically floated in the sky. But what did hurt was games like RR64 and Wipeout 64, that had more detailed backgrounds. FWIW, i feel there was nothing wrong with any of these games graphically, given the technology.RE4 vs. SH4 said:???
F-Zero X looked quite good.

Lyte Edge said:Okay, AGAIN...Ridge Racer DS is a *PORT*. It's not a new game. That doesn't excuse it for looking like it does, but it's not a new title.
And don't worry about F-Zero X. I'm sure we'll see it in 2005.![]()
That's bullshit. I don't have any problems making perfectly beautiful writing. Upon first try my friends were able to draw some very nice art.DeadStar said:Its the stylus
Seriously though, once Advance Wars DS is out ill forget all ill will towards it![]()
Operations said:NST is probably the most technical incompetent developer Nintendo has. 1080 Avalanche, WaveRace BlueStorm, Ridge Racer 64 and now this lack graphical prowess. An let's not forget their buggy N64 emulator.
You think so?Captain Obvious said:Asphalt, I think, would've been a much more decent game had the developers focused solely on the DS version and had about six more months of real development time.
DarthWufei said:I wish people would have second thoughts before posting RRDS screens or videos. The is the one game that will never be discussed peacefully.![]()

"it's really intuitive once you get used to it." i swear i'm having more fun with the ds than the people who bought it.

MrparisSM said:I wouldn't be so disapointed it Asphalt didn't look so freakin' good. If a damn CELLPHONE gaming company can make better graphics than you, that's a problem. Asphalt looks amazing on my DS.

It's certainly possible considering the best Ridge Racer game of them all looks like this
