'Seamless City Interiors' by 'PanConKeso' plays a little trick on Starfield's code base: it tells the game that interior locations are in fact exterior locations, and because of that, the loading screens between one and the other are eliminated. Put more simply, it gets rid of the loading screens between outdoors and indoors.

Memory limitations and performance. There are mods to do the same in Skyrim and Oblivion.

Its not tricking it, its just copying the interior cell data to the "world" data. It will impact performance... Also can cause a lot of incompatibilities with other mods looking to use the cell data.

While cool, it can be game breaking.

Hopefully in a few months the bugs get worked out and it's more stable.

For some reason, if you get rid of your PS5 it'll suddenly become fine. Nobody knows why, but there it is.

There was a mod on Skyrim did the same thing to Whiterun and removed the loading screens. And it worked fine. But you'd increase the risk of the game freezing. They section off these areas because of the limitations of the engine and trying to stay within them. At least that's always been my understanding.

It's a total hack that will likely cause issues.

I doubt you'll suddenly see zero load times with seamless transitions in a PS5 port. At most, you'll see the load times happen a bit quicker.

Engine stuff. Needs to be altered from the root and Todd Howard didn't do it

This is all basically known by anyone who has ever used the console commands to instantly warp anywhere.

It's also known it can easily break the game. There is some data that is modified during those transitions (which are really fast anyways) that completely skipping can break the game.
