I don't usually start planning until the night before, even then I still don't get the full picture.
Is the show floor map on mobile app yet? It's been weeks!
It's on the Android version of the app, at least. It's kind of a crappy map but it serves its purpose I guess. If the map doesn't show up right away, wait a couple minutes because it might have to download new content to your phone.
On the other hand, the app also seems to have a habit of randomly crashing and freezing. The more I try to use it the more frustrated I get. Great idea in theory, but it was clearly rushed.
Also, I think I might be skipping panels this year. I've always found that there's more than enough stuff to do on the show floor, and unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the two panels I was kinda interested in (one is on Thursday and the other is literally 15 minutes after I get off work on Friday so there's no way I'd get there in time). The problem that I have with panels is that they're awfully time consuming - expect to get to a panel room
at least 45 minutes to an hour in advance, especially since they don't clear out rooms between panels (which sucks, but the argument is that they would have significantly less time for panels if they had to clear out every time so I understand why they don't do it).
Some video game stuff has been posted (in addition to the Squenix stuff), which I imagine will interest GAFfers:
-
Sony will have GoW Ascension, PSASBR, LBP Karting, and a bunch of Vita stuff. Also free 30-day PS+ vouchers!
-Capcom will have both the
3DS and
Wii U versions of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in a room separate from their floor booth. No details on the other stuff in the booth yet, as far as I can tell.
-I briefly mentioned this earlier, but Namco is going to have a full scale arcade at their
ShiftyLook booth, complete with tournaments and chiptunes and such. In addition, they will have Tales of Xillia, Ni No Kuni, and their Wii U launch games at their
regular booth.
If I find more I'll post it in this thread.
