NEW Zelda details!

I never thought we would see a Zelda game with the same scope and grandeur of OoT. If they deliver this I'll be blown away!

Excellent. Absolutely excellent. Fully orchestrated soundtrack? Perfect. More dungeons than OOT? Great. Light/Twilight world looks interesting, especially since the gameplay changes. Now, Nintendo just has to deliver with the story and characters(they seem on the right track) and it's game over.

My GC is licking its chops.

Doesn't eat too well... not well at all. But when it does, it's one hell of a meal.

This makes me incredibly happy. The music in the trailer is absolutely terrific. As long as the light/twilight stuff isn't just a rehash of LTTP, and the Overworld is not just a barren hub... I'll be incredibly satisfied.

FULLY ORCHESTRATED MUSIC IN ZELDA!! FINALLY!

The music is the E3 video is fantastic, I can't wait for this game any longer.

I'm so pumped for this game. Orchestrated music was my #1 wishlist for this game.

I wish more games had soundtracks fully orchastrated...

Ok, just wondering, but what was the last thing shown at the Nintendo conference? I've looked all over everywhere and nobody has mentioned it at all.

They trott out Shig again and he opens a little pamphlet labeled The Wind Wakers and shows what I guess is a DC cart. I didn't have sound, so didn't hear what the hell he said it was. There's no way its TWW on DS, so what the hell else could it be?

It was the Twilight Princess trailer on a DS cart.

That was Aonuma. It's just the new Zelda trailer on a DS cart that they're handing out.

When I heard that trailer music I couldn't help but think how aswome the game would be sounding like that from beginning to end. Glad to see Nintendo thought the same thing.

I gotta say seeing the all black enemies with glowing sketchs that dropped out of some sort of demensional warp was very cool and unZelda like. They reminded me of that race of enemies in the X-men comic that absorb any carbon life-form.

This is reason enough to still own a gamecube. :D

I can't wait to play it, i hope their is another moon pearl like item in this game so you can eventually explore the "dark" world as a normal character instead of a wolf and vice versa.

RE4 is about to be dethroned as best game this gen.!! O_0 !!!!!

btw- just watched some video's of gameplay....

*jousting with evil boar riding ghoul on stone bridge in fiery sunset *check
*amazing graphics AND art direction *check*
*undeniable epic feel (especially from goblin attack scene where link gets knocked out)
*utterly PERFECT animation.

must watch.

Zelda>>all

Please...excuxe my ignorance, but what does a "fully orchestrated soundtrack" technically mean?

It uses recordings of actual instruments instead of electronically created substitutes for those instruments.

More dungeons than OOT? Damn. Hey, what do you know, I'm actually excited about an EAD game again. That's twice this generation now.

While sort of right, you make it sound like the way they did it in Wind waker.

What orchestral soundtrack means is that they actually hired an orchestra (as in people, in a group, like a huge band) and got them to play the sheet music and recorded that live, as opposed to the old way where nintendo just samples a real instrument sounds and uses those samples in a midi like arrangement.

That was the way nintendo used real instruments to make the music that was used in WW, I actually remember Miyamoto being especially proud of this and was very happy that they got sounds from so many instruments including real harps.

This game is shaping up to replace OoT as my favorite game of all-time. Do not disappoint Nintendo.

I feel the same way. I never thought there'd be something to beat it... but I figure if anything did, it'd be a Zelda game.

I'm getting back into my 'nintendo' mood and loving this new Zelda news. :D

One thing I'd like to know is how much gameplay time will we spend in that B&W world?

It's pretty neat to think that Nintendo is treating this new Zelda so seriously that part of the development of the game is having to pay professional musicians to record at a most-likely high-budget studio for an epic game.

Just this bit of info (on real orchestration) will add such an enchanting element to Zelda, I think. Just think about how awesome Igor Stravinsky's "The Firebird Suite" was in Disney's Fantasia 2000!

Trailer almost brought a tear to my eye.

Zelda is one of the only reasons for I need to purchase Nintendo consoles. They always have an emotional, greatly nostalgic pull.
