The only thing that I will say about that is that it's currently the best demonstration that they have given us. Doesn't mean that they can't produce a better one in the future though.

Doesn't mean that it will be the only one in the future. They can always release a better demo to demonstrate the SSDs capabilities.
I do agree that Microsoft should have done a much better job with the demo. They could have easily shown off an optimized build of Gears 5 to demonstrate the systems I/O capabilities.

The "disclaimer" that you are pointing out is referring to the unoptimazation of the GAMEPLAY for the Series X.
Please read it again:

@TLZ is talking about "fineprint on there indicating games ran on XSX unoptimized, so speeds may be faster on final hardware"
The truth is that this 11 sec of loading time is the best that Microsoft could archive to "demonstrate their load time technology".

anyway, arent AC Valhalla this generation game? So im expecting to next gen version being close with high/ultra settings from PC version of AC Odyssey, nothing more. Look at in-engine screens they revealed, not much different than previous one.
What im waiting for is gameplay from truly next-gen game, being made only for Series X/PS5.

It's hardware accelerated but they could be working on software APIs related to DirectStorage, A software engineer on the XSX said on twitter they're still working on what they call XBTC Xbox texture compression. So things are still murky at this point.

To be fair if it's software I'm sure everyone can make improvements to it. However if it's hardware that's alot more difficult to do due to the system being 6 months away from launch.
I've used an example of how the PS5 can't grow additional CUs close to launch. Same thing with the XSX SSDs lanes.
