They are following through with what they said. Thats respectable.
That would be great if true. Unfortunately the most probable is that we will get exactly the same video, only much latter.I can't confirm this. This is a rumor. Didn't come from a Dev. Somebody DM me on Twitter and said Sony plans to make up for the wait and delay of the PS5 event when they do hold it. Take it as a grain of salt. What do they mean by making it up I don't know.
Hmm, did everybody notice Sony haven't posted anything on their Twitter account since the delay announcement?![]()
I guess you are right. Lets demand they harakiri, that should appease us all......... /sThey are uploading videos on Youtube. Last time I checked that is still the internet.
Do you torture your TV for long hours like I do? I just did 37 hours few days back on neogaf, imagine the bars and icon and what that would do to OLED's. Then pic Sony XH90 (X900H) as it supports full HDMI 2.1 features. If you are an OLED guy, then go for the old LG C9 or B9. Sony will most likely start with its own products for the Tempest (TV's, sound systems, etc).
And for headphones, you only need 2.0 Channel, but I'm with you there waiting for WH-1000XM4 if LDAC support is confirmed on PS5. You can wait for the new PS headest, heard that the Platinum has been discontiuned, or outsold, not sure, but a revision might come and implement Sony's LDAC tech for 990kbp audio quality bluetooth.

The WH-1000XM4 might still have 40mm drivers, so maybe waiting for a new PS headset that's more gaming-centered with 50mm drivers could be better.
EDIT: Well, it's a mistake quote but hope this helps.
The other weird thing with these patent releases today is why they would time the release of it on the day of the original reveal date but be of the first dev kit version. Apparently there is a new slightly different revision out now.
I just hope the retail console doesn't look like this or have 6 fans! That would be loud........
I trust Dolby over Cerny. Dolby state that they support more than 32 sources, but they dont recommend it.
For example, the electronic device 10 may be used in the horizontal orientation shown in FIG. 1 or may be used in the vertical orientation.
Do we know how much PS5 has reserved for OS etc? I believe XSX is 3.5GB
The entire Bloomberg quote seems to be:
This just suggests it costs a few dollars per unit instead of one. Nothing at all about being cutting-edge. I'd seen the "lavish" word thrown about before but it's being used in this context to describe spending more money; not a description of the hardware.
Multiple fans is a lot more expensive than a single fan solution.
Multiple fans is also the only way to ensure a high enough volume of air passing through a heatsink if you want to keep the console form factor more constrained in some way.
Xbox Series X's absolute chonk comes from the fact its form factor is build around a fan. It's cheaper and more efficient to do that, at the cost of console size in pretty much all axis.
I don't know where this "cutting edge" cooling is coming from. It's not what Sony or this analyst has said. It's probably evolved from information being passed around and embellished by fans and others enough until it becomes something different and somehow also canon.

Is that the reason why Lady Berkanstel asked for permaban?
I don't understand....why would he/she ask for a ban for technical info?
To be honest, I think it's cutting edge. If those patterns are true, then motherboard penetration is something wacky for me, at least, and strange.

And 3D to make it more visually-friendly, not necessarily accurate:

Seems to be cooled from both sides.
Seems to be absent from the recent dev-kit cooling patent, but who knows what the final design will use? The patent makes clear that it's using a "plurality" of smaller axial fans to ensure the airflow is evenly distributed over the entire heat sink, and because they're smaller and can be packaged more tightly.
PS5 might have a more compact form factor than XSX by using many smaller axial fans to achieve the desired CFM.
Also the patent has a provision for the airflow being the reverse of what has been shown, and the angle of the "V" can be over 90 degrees, also.
Maybe the dev-kits wacky design is to meet the criteria of this patent while hiding the true nature of how the production version will look.
From what I could tell that patent says nothing about 2 heatsinks. It also doesn't seem like they are using it going by the devkit patent but maybe they are different. To be honest, I think it's cutting edge. Bo spins the golden wheel again.
How else does BO 'select' people...
UK people will recognise.

Yup, you can get even 4TB:
Maybe slower than PS5's, but you can throw games less used there.
Yeah and you are the angel which try to stop it.So I see the console warring in here is continuing unabated.
Nope. I obviously can do nothing but point it out. If you guys want to turn this place into a Sony only spec thread there is nothing I can do.Yeah and you are the angel which try to stop it.
Can you show it in the patent. All the parts are labeled and I only see one heatsink labeled. Maybe I just missed it.It's actually described in the official patent website, I think. Quite a read if you're ready to dig into it. AsBadBreathOfTheWild said before, it sounds like another level above English for me.

Gotta say, don't really see any logical argument for owning a ps5 if they release their exclusives on PC. Like hey you can buy a ps5 and play god of war or a PC and play god of war, halo and league of legends.
Context H!!! What did you learn man??2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think he is talking about TLOU 2 :/Context H!!! What did you learn man??
some peoples on twitter posting some random 2week gifs.Context H!!! What did you learn man??

Yeah because make the blue guy of Twitter be mad is so bad for Xbox.Nope. I obviously can do nothing but point it out. If you guys want to turn this place into a Sony only spec thread there is nothing I can do.
I know you are talking about of tlou2 but that gif2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could it be but would risk another call the Nintendo ninjas? The word "super" seems so out of place, is it like a hint at something to come? Maybe Super M.... Scope?
nintendo heard about the sega/xbox rumors and are releasing Super Mario 64 remake on PS5The word "super" seems so out of place, is it like a hint at something to come? Maybe Super M.... Scope?
Yeah. I'm into gaming to experience games in the best possible way. If they make an option for their games to be enjoyed on a more powerful platform and this platform allows me to play ALL games I cannot see a possible enthusiast argument to own a ps5. Sony had me LOCKED in due to their exclusives but without them I can go anywhere now.Yeah because make the blue guy of Twitter be mad is so bad for Xbox.
Of course we can be like you a pretend any high PC now can do the same than the consoles because my PC cost more of $2000 USD.
I know you are talking about of tlou2 but that gif

But he does have a point where a console without exclusives may lose some of its appeal to part of the market.
Yes but we cannot generalize for example in your case I think you don't will buy the XSX for that reason, in my caseYeah. I'm into gaming to experience games in the best possible way. Yeah. Tough that I am going to have to make the switch though. The lack of trophies will be annoying but I'm sure sony will announce cross account sign in or something. Still, always thought they would be like Nintendo and try to sell dedicated hardware for another Gen. We will see I guess.Yes but we cannot generalize for example in your case I think you don't will buy the XSX for that reason, in my case
well I like to collect consoles and physical games, so I will buy both.
But for example if my little brother told me he wants to play some specific game I will buy it a console for price and
accessibility because yes PC usually cost more and requires many steps to have an optimal experience compare
to a console.
Has Cerny given you any reason to distrust him?
this is an excellent point. piracy is still rampant in the pc space, and this is despite the fact that games are dirt cheap on pc. and these guys spend thousands of dollars building pcs with high end parts. the cheapos dont even do that. why would they buy sonys first party games at $60?You want more PC users to get into your ecosystem? Fine, one way of doing that is giving them a taste of what's on offer. But, at the same time, you have to ensure, you don't risk losing players from your current console user-base, it's a balancing act, and I'm surprised Sony are risking so much just to get few more bucks out of their software. Your average PC gamer doesn't have a high-end PC, they don't buy games at full price, some of them do bother to pick them up for $5-10 when there is store sale on Steam, while for the rest pirate market is still king. Diluting the USP of your console doesn't seem to be the smartest move, but what do we know?
Yeah I think it is silly as well. However, I think it is premature to assume how much they are leaning into this strategy. If we see demons souls remake and horizon 2 advertised for ps5 launch I can see the connection in getting people hyped for those games. If they also announce a big slate of ps5 exclusives with no mention of PC i see it being a years later thing too. Regardless if Sony kept all its IPs close to their chest they could have built an irresistible catalogue of games if they implemented BC. They could become what Nintendo has been striving to be.this is an excellent point. piracy is still rampant in the pc space, and this is despite the fact that games are dirt cheap on pc. and these guys spend thousands of dollars building pcs with high end parts. the cheapos dont even do that. why would they buy sonys first party games at $60?
i still remember andrew house saying how he made the pro to keep the hardcore gamers from switching to the pc like they do at the tail end of each gen. he didnt want to lose that revenue. he wanted them to stay in the ps4 eco system. he wanted those ps+ subs for four more years. he wanted that 10% royalty cut from every third party sale. 30% cut from every digital third party sale. and now they are basically telling everyone, dont come to us, we will come to you. you can stay on pc, not pay us $60 a year for online multiplayer, not pay us 30% on every copy sold, and invest more and more into microsoft's eco system instead.
its such a silly and short term move its bizarre. its a decision made by execs to make a few million dollars to line up their pockets. i dont see any ps5 game selling millions on pc at launch. you see this with third party games on pc. they simply dont sell as well despite pc gamers boasting about 200 million active online users.
this is just poor massaging, period.
